On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, EOP hosted a recognition reception for its graduating seniors. At the event students had the chance to to connect with their peers and they also received a commemorative EOP graduation sash, a small token from their "EOP family" to publicly acknowledge their hard work and dedication. This year marks the 50 years of the Educational Opportunity Program and we have commemorated this special occasion with our special edition “EOP 50 years” sash. The sash is a representation of not only the success of our students but the program’s 50 years of changing lives through continuous innovation. We can’t wait to see our graduating students wear it proudly during CSUN’s commencement ceremonies.
Attending the event were also former EOP students receiving their post graduate degree, who were honored with a medal.

FOR SALE!! I'm finally going to list this bad boy for sale. It's HUGE and will have to be local pick up only of course. Lord only knows what it would take to ship this thing. But I need space and it's no longer my "taste" so it's time to go. I'll post more pics if anyone wants.

For various reasons I only got a fifteen minute window for this year's WPPD. I spent it at Brighouse on the Calder & Hebble Navigation, specifically the marina and Upper and Lower Locks
Probably just hides a water heater or furnace or something boring like that. But what if it goes to a secret basement!!

Pictures of archaeological digs may not look too interesting photographically, but these show progress on an important long-term project uncovering fascinating new information about the history of York.
The Hungate area of York has been inhabited since Roman times. Since 2006 archaeologists have been seeking evidence of previous settlements. They have until 2011 to complete the project, when a large building development will take over the site.
Many 19th-century artefacts were found in the early stage of the project. Now the remains of Viking structures, dating from the 10th century, are being uncovered, providing new evidence of the way of life in York during that era.
The site was open to the public free of charge during the Jorvik Viking Festival. This is one of the information posters on the boundary fence.

For the productivity poster I chose which supplies I liked and added them to my background. After I picked the once I liked, I used the magic wand tool to clear their backgrounds, I moved them how I wanted. I then added in the notes and changed their color from yellow. For my final touch I added the text.

For the first time ever, we purchased a box of pink bunny peep! From what I understand, the original peep is a yellow bird...also available at the dollar store...for 1$. I got way more excited by the concept (hello, pink bunny) than by the actual taste of the candy. I think that I will drawn one tomorrow...in a cup of hot chocolate ! ah ah ah ah...evil bunny killer ;)

French and British escalate what had started as a diversion into a full-scale engagement that would last throughout the whole of the battle of Waterloo.
Taken with my underwater Vivitar ViviCam 8400 camera. Not a bad photo for an inexpensive underwater camera! The playa dust destroyed my expensive digital camera last year, so this year, I chose an underwater camera. If water can't get into it, then neither can dust. It took great photos and was small enough to carry in my fanny pack.
The Ambassador for a Day campaign is a flagship initiative of the British Embassy
Sofia.
Launched in 2018 to celebrate International Women’s Day with a positive act, it has now become one of their most recognised and widely supported initiatives.
The concept has evolved over the last two years. In essence, Ambassador for a Day is a national essay competition for girls between 14-18 years old (8th to 11th grade).
The core objectives behind the initiative are:
1. To encourage young girls from across Bulgaria into diplomacy by giving them
the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an Ambassador.
2. To empower them to add their voices and perspectives to issues that affect us
all.

Ahhhhh Wondercon, it's been 30 years in the waiting for me. I love art, but comic books are what really turned me onto the worlds made of pen, ink, and fantasy. I guess in a way you could say comic books were my "gateway drug" to fine art.
It's been many years since I have been an avid comic book reader, probably 10 or more. Sure I pick up a graphic novel from time to time, but honestly folks, I'm totally out of the loop. Wondercon (held annually in San Francisco, CA) has EVERYTHING that your deviant heart may desire. This year was the 25th anniversary of the event, and the fanboy and fangirls came out in droves. In fact, the Saturday event date completely sold out and I'm told that the convention floor was an utter madhouse.
