Merlyn and I ran for our freedom. Over the fences, around the watchtowers and onto a small boat. Merlyn jumped into the driver's and used all the power the boat had to speed us away. Meanwhile, I found a bag in the back of the boat. Inside was a bunch of police equipment such as handcuffs and radios, but one thing struck my eye, a small hand gun. It only had a couple of bullets in, but a couple of bullets was enough for me. "Where you taking us?" I had to shout to get my voice heard over the roaring engine.
"I am going to take us to the south GCPD headquarters."
"Wait a minute! So instead of running away from the police, we are gonna head straight to them?"
"Yes. But not to get caught again, we need to get our gear. If you want to kill Amanda Waller you can't do it in a orange jumpsuit. This GCPD headquarters is the only one which holds the confiscated items." Merlyn had a point, if we wanted to get to Amanda, we had to use stealth, we had to blend in and I don't think orange is the best blending in type color. As we were talking, Merlyn finally made it to the shore. Luckily for us the GCPD building was right on the shore line. The building seemed silent, rundown and empty. The paint on the walls were beginning to come off. The desked had cold cups of coffee on them, and unfinished paperwork. It seemed me and Merlyn could've just walked through the building without a worry. But then, from behind us, came a small voice, "Don't move!" said the voice. As we turned we saw a scared police officer, sweating as he tried to keep grip of his gun. I could see Merlyn was ready to do some weird ninja move on the cop, so before he did, I got out the gun I found and shot the policeman right through the neck. As we turned back, many lockers stood over us. Each of them named for whose belongings were inside. "Scarecrow," I said in my head "Clock King, Hugo Strange, Deadshot bingo!" I opened my locker to be greeted by my suit. Quickly I wriggled into it and got my helmet on. Then as I looked into the locker again, a flood of pistols came out, followed by some ammunition packs, and then my trusty assault rifle.
"Thats a lot of guns you got there." said Merlyn as he got into his ancient karate gear and his bow and arrows.
"What can I say," I replied "you gotta love a good old pistol."

About 600 years ago, Town Creek Indian Mound served as a ceremonial center for social occasions and feasts of the Pee Dee (name archeologists gave these Native Americans due to their close proximity to the Pee Dee River), a South Appalachian Mississippian culture people; today this is the only ceremonial mound and village center of that culture located within North Carolina

Mount Gilead, NC – 2019NOV10 – The Town Creek Site:
For our 23rd wedding anniversary, after church Joe & I paused for a picnic lunch on our way to Town Creek Site, set high on a low bluff of an oxbow on the west bank of the Little River near its confluence with Town Fork Creek in Mt. Gilead, NC, on the sunny southern side of the ancient Uwharrie Mountain Range located in the southeastern Piedmont region.
The protohistoric Native American ceremonial center – listed in the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark – is the first North Carolina State Historic Site, and it also remains the only state historic site in North Carolina dedicated to American Indian heritage, drawing astronomers, and visitors like us, from far and wide to this fascinating time capsule.
The Native American People legacy carries muffled mystery buried in its background of protohistory, a period that spans prehistory and history, when a culture or civilization had no developed writing but when other cultures notated its existence.
Excavating the earthen mound built of clay – one mound built atop former mounds – has been a focus of archaeological research under one director for more than half a century, an unusual phenomenon in the history of North American archaeology.
People lived here for 12,000 years, but why particularly here? The Town Creek site manager Rich Thompson shared with Joe and me how major rains will turn the ceremonial center into an island surrounded by floodwater then as well as recently, flooding from the parking lot halfway up to the front door of the Visitor Center.
Why the name Indian: fueled by bravery and ignorance financed by greed and arrogance, Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, heading "to India" but reaching the New World, and the Town Creek people vanished with no clue; we have no written record of explanation. Today we see these lovingly-reconstructed structures and can look and learn in amazement and wonder. So we invite you to view the best of our photos we set into 6 mini-themed albums:

If I could be half the person my beloved Gran was I would be happy.
She really was the most amazing woman and there isn't a single day that I don't miss her.
She died of breast cancer so for me spreading the message is very personal.
Miss you Nan!
I AM NOW ON A MISSION TO TRY AND GET THIS INTO AS MANY GROUPS AS POSSIBLE TO SPREAD THE WORD
So awhile ago, I picked up another Shoushou Doll GouDan head from Licht (when Licht was still selling them which it appears they no longer are). The head was picked up for two reasons. One, we were going to try modding the mouth to be a little more accurate. Wataru is meant to have a lip cleft and while Amet was able to paint it on the original head, we thought it might be fun to actually carve it into the resin.
The second reason was because we were thinking of doing a more fantasy type face up since Wataru is meant to be half-human, half-supernatural creature.
We got the mod on the lip done and even shaved down the nose a little. Then -- we kind of just fell off on doing anything about it due to the school year picking up.
A couple of weeks ago, Amet picked up the head again and I suggested instead of some crazy face up, why not try to make this head look a little more pouty. And so she did.
GUYS, guys! It's ridiculous but this head is even freaking cuter looking worried/pouty. Don't get me wrong. I love the original head. I love his little kitty smile but it's nice to see a different expression.
My girl is a wizard. She really is. It's going to be a lot of fun to actually swap back and forth, I think.

the sun came out.
it hasn't been around much.
and while I was busy trashing some broccoli that had seen better days, I looked up from the fridge and saw a splash of sunlight on the table. and I ran for my camera. clearly, the broccoli was not in a state to be photographed, but I saw the apples in the bin. hurry, hurry, I grab, I cut, I place, and I manage to snap a handful before the sun disappeared again.
it hasn't come back all day.
but I caught it.

The last week was kinda blurry for me, all I could remember was Azreal and Robin capturing me. I think a slight bit of amnesia was caused by all of those hits to the head. Once I was arrested by the police, they threw me into a police car and drove me off to the GCPD police station. They lead me to a desk where a young woman was rapidly typing on the computer. "One moment please." She said sweetly to the pig holding on the my arm. I looked to the left of me, there was a television. On the television was Viki Vale, saying that the war was over, the GCPD had managed to claim back most of Gotham, but Hush was still at a high. The GCPD better do the best they can with the city, because they wouldn't have it for long. Whilst I was watching the TV the lady on the computer had got all of my details down on their database, then they pushed me into a room. First came a strip search, then came the change from my costume to a tacky prison jumpsuit and finally they whisked me off to Blackgate prison.
The journey took over an hour, but I was finally at my new home, Blackgate. I had only been in Blackgate for a couple of times, but the last time was many years ago. As I got inside I could see how much it changed, it looked a lot more like hell on earth. As the security guard walked me to my cell, the other prisoners stared at me. Some more intimidating than others. "Welcome to hell." one of them said. It really did feel like hell and I liked it.
Hope you like it :D

I'm sorry I've not had time to update for a couple days. Pamela was finally released from the hospital yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon, with a hopeful bill of health.
She came to school and packed and went home to Florida to recuperate and finish the semester quietly via the intertubes.
We miss you already Pambla. Hope your strength increases!
DADDY: “Paddy! Scout! Everybear and fox! Can you please stop your playing and come here for a moment!”
PADDY: “Hullo Daddy!”
SCOUT: “Here I am Daddy!”
JAGO: “Hullo Daddy, are you alright?”
DAISY-MAUD: “Do we need the first aid kit, to mend your paw, Daddy?”

ORSON: “I’m right here, Daddy!”
FREDDY: “Hullo Daddy! Here I am!”
CORNELIA: “Goodness Daddy, is everything alright?”
DADDY: “Oh yes, everything is fine everybear and fox. It’s just that we will be going home soon.”
SCOUT and ROSIE: “What? Already?”
BOGART: “But it feels like we just got here!”
DADDY: “I know little ones. I know. We aren’t going just yet. There is still plenty of time for playing hide-and-seek in amongst the flowers, but it’s so pretty here that I wanted to take a family photo of you all, as a memory of our visit today.”
CORNELIA: “Oh that’s a good idea, Daddy! Then I can share it with Moesje, Punky and Percy!”
SCOUT: “And I can share it with my twice removed and once added nephew, Marvin, and with mijn beste vriend Peter!”
ROSIE: “Who also happens to be mijn prins Peter! He would love our photograph!”
PADDY: “And I will share it with mijn best vriend Oleg!”
JAGO and DAISY-MAUD: “Oh, and our best friend Benny!”

DADDY: “Yes, don’t worry, I will share your photo with all your wonderful Flickr friends everybear and fox!”
SCOUT: “Can we come back here and play another day, Daddy?”
DADDY: “Oh of course we can come back, Scout, but when we do, the flowers may not be here.”
CORNELIA: “What? Not be here? But they are so pretty, Daddy!”
DADDY: “I know Cornelia, but flowers don’t last forever.”
PADDY: “Ahem!” *Clears throat.* “I hate to correct you, but everlasting flowers last forever.”
DADDY: “Well that is true, Paddy, but primulas and tulips, pansies and lollipop primulas do not last forever, and so Cornelia, the gardeners come and take these away after a while.”
ROSIE: “Will they plant new flowers, Daddy?”
DADDY: “Oh of course they will, Rosie, but these spring plantings are by far the most beautiful of all the gardener’s plantings throughout the year, and that is why I want to take a photo of you now. You all look so beautiful against the wonderful floral backdrop of pansies.”
PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: “Oh thank you, Daddy!”
DADDY: “Now, let me fetch out my camera. Whilst I do, can you please organise yourselves into a nice arrangement, everybear and fox?”
PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: “Yes Daddy!”
SCOUT: “May I have Dolly, Daddy? She is in the pocket of your bag to keep her safe whilst I’ve been playing.”
DADDY: “Of course you can, Scout. I’ll fetch her out.”
SCOUT: “Oh thank you, Daddy!”
PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: *Begin to arrange themselves.*
DADDY: “Oh, splendid my little ones! You have all arranged yourself so beautifully. Scout, here is Dolly.”
SCOUT: “Oh thank you, Daddy!” *Grasps Dolly and cuddles her.*
DADDY: “Alright, now on the count of three, say ‘grumbly tummies’! One… two… three…”
PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: “Grumbly tummies, Daddy!”
*Camera goes click and whir.*
SCOUT: “Thinking of grumbly tummies, Daddy, I have a grumbly tummy right now! Grumbly tummy, Daddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy voigorously.*
PADDY, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: “We all do, Daddy! Grumbly tummies Daddy! Grumbly tummies!” *Rub tummies vigorously.*
DADDY: “Alright then, come along everybear and fox! Let’s go and have a lovely cream tea at the café over there!”
PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, ORSON, ROSIE, BOGART, FREDDY and CORNELIA: “Hoorah!” *Jump up and down with excitement.* “Oh thank you, Daddy!”
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
Rosie is Scout's cousin, because like Scout, she is a free trade knitted bear from Africa. She was made in Kenya by one of the Kenana Knitters, Martha Wanjira. She is made from home spun and dyed wool. She was a gift to me from two very dear friends, including the one who gave Scout to Paddy.
Jago was a gift from a dear friend in England. He is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Daisy Maud is Jago's little sister and was made by the same friend in England who made him. She is made of German mohair with floral fabric cotton paw pads that match her pretty sunhat, and glass eyes. A sweet and loving little girl bear, she is happy to be reunited with her big brother, Jago, and enjoys being spoiled by her new Daddy.
Orson, named after the little bear constellation, was made by the same friend who made Jago and Daisy-Maud. He comes ready dressed in 'trousers' made of German mohair accessorised with embroidered braces. His paws are ultra suede and his eyes are glass. He is described as being a little bit serious minded but very friendly. He's fine once he gets to know you.
Cornelia, I found in an antique and vintage market quite recently. She is a vintage edition Russ Bear from their Mohair Collection. She is made of deliberately mottled mohair to give her that vintage look. One of a limited edition of 10,000, she was designed by artist Carol Hosfstad and is completely handmade.
Freddy Fox is made by Merrythought in England. I bought him, of all places, from a men’s accessory shop in Melbourne’s Block Arcade, called Mr. Wares. Freddy Fox is made of English Mohair with felt paws and glass bead eyes. He has so much charm and charisma that already he is winning hearts with anyone whom he meets, and he is kind and sweet, which makes him an ideal member of our family.
Just on the edge of the Melbourne Central Business District's formal grid of streets, you will find the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens. A haven of green with avenues of elms, lush rolling lawns and beautiful seasonal plantings the gardens are populated with various buildings and points of interest.
In spring 2023 the gardeners of the Fitzroy Gardens excelled themselves with several annual and perennial borders in the area around the Model Tudor Village Planted with beautiful pink petunias, pink lollipop primulas, cinerarias in pink, white, purple and blue and rows of pink tulips they are a roar of colour! I have never seen these beds look so beautiful!
The Fitzroy Gardens was named after Sir Charles Augustus Fitzroy (1796-1858), Governor of New South Wales (1846-1851) and Governor-General of the Australian Colonies (1851-1855). The Gardens have a long history of over 150 years, few other capital cities can boast such a significant garden so close to the City's centre. As crown land the City of Melbourne are the custodians to preserve and oversee this magnificent garden, visited by over 2 million local, interstate and international visitors each year, it is one of the major attractions in Melbourne. It features many beautiful statues, a bandstand, the Temple of the Winds, a conservatory and Captain Cook's Cottage.

This was the highlight and reason for my Southern Arizona Adventure 2024. This is stage 8 of 9.
I was lucky to secure permits for the once monthly photography tour of Kartchner Caverns. Kartchner Caverns State Park strictly forbids any cameras or cellphones in the Caverns. Except for one trip per month for 12 to 15 photographers currently $125. I planned a 4 day 3 night road trip around Southern Arizona anchored by my Kartchner Cavern permit.
I was expecting dark conditions. The State Park turned on all the lights in the Big Room. They don't like turning on all the lights since can cause an increase in algae. This is the reason they only have one photography tour a month.
I found myself adjusting my histograms to not clip the highlights. Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome. Next time I am going to bracket my shots. I almost wish I had brought a ND filter or tried a handheld GND filter.
I don't know speleothems so I won't even try to identify. If anyone can help me with the identification, I will appreciate it.
www.nps.gov/subjects/caves/speleothems.htm#:~:text=The%20...)%20when%20needed.
The features that arouse the greatest curiosity for most cave visitors are speleothems. These stone formations exhibit bizarre patterns and other-worldly forms, which give some caves a wonderland appearance. Caves vary widely in their displays of speleothems because of differences in temperature; overall wetness; and jointing, impurities, and structures in the rocks. In general, however, one thing caves do have in common is where speleothems form. Although the formation of caves typically takes place below the water table in the zone of saturation, the deposition of speleothems is not possible until caves are above the water table in the zone of aeration. As soon as the chamber is filled with air, the stage is set for the decoration phase of cave building to begin.
The term speleothem refers to the mode of occurrence of a mineral—i.e., its morphology or how it looks—in a cave, not its composition (Hill, 1997). For example, calcite, the most common cave mineral, is not a speleothem, but a calcite stalactite is a speleothem. A stalactite may be made of other minerals, such as halite or gypsum.
Classifying speleothems is tricky because no two speleothems are exactly alike. Nevertheless, speleologists have taken three basic approaches: classification by morphology, classification by origin, and classification by crystallography. All three of these approaches have their problems (Hill, 1997), so cavers often take a more practical approach that primarily uses morphology (e.g., cave pearls) but includes whatever is known about origin (e.g., geysermites) and crystallography (e.g., spar) when needed.

The Kartchner Caverns, rated one of the world's 10 most beautiful caves, is an eerie wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites still growing beneath the Whetstone Mountains 40 miles southeast of Tucson.
The limestone cave has 13,000 feet of passages and hundreds of formations built over the past 200,000 years, including some that are unique and world-renowned. It's a "living cave," with intricate formations that continue to grow as water seeps, drips and flows from the walls and slowly deposits the mineral calcium carbonate.
The caverns were discovered by amateur spelunkers Randy Tufts and Gary Tenen in 1974 on land owned by the Kartchner family. They kept the cave a secret until 1988, when the Kartchners sold it to the state to become a state park.
The highlights of the Big Room tour are a stretch of strawberry flowstone, which has been colored red by iron oxide (rust) in the water, and a maternity ward for 1,800 female cave myotis bats, with black grime on the ceiling where the bats hang and piles of guano on the floor. Visitors who look closely will see a bat's body embedded in one of the cave's formations.
Though not all are available on the tours, the caverns' unique features include a 21-foot, 2-inch soda straw that's one the world's largest (Throne Room), the world's most extensive formation of brushite moonmilk (Big Room), the first reported occurrence of "turnip" shields (Big Room), the first cave occurrence of "birdsnest" needle quartz formations (Big Room) and the remains of a Shasta ground sloth from the Pleistocene Age (Big Room).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kartchner_Caverns_State_Park
Kartchner Caverns State Park is a state park of Arizona, United States, featuring a show cave with 2.4 miles (3.9 km) of passages.[1] The park is located 9 miles (14 km) south of the town of Benson and west of the north-flowing San Pedro River. Long hidden from view, the caverns were discovered in 1974 by local cavers, assisted by state biologist Erick Campbell who helped in its preservation.
The park encompasses most of a down-dropped block of Palaeozoic rocks on the east flank of the Whetstone Mountains.
The caverns are carved out of limestone and filled with spectacular speleothems which have been growing for 50,000 years or longer, and are still growing. Careful and technical cave state park development and maintenance, initially established by founder Dr. Bruce Randall "Randy" Tufts, geologist, were designed to protect and preserve the cave system throughout the park's development, and for perpetuity.[3]
The two major features of the caverns accessible to the public are the Throne Room and the Big Room. The Throne Room contains one of the world's longest (21 ft 2 in (6.45 m))[5] soda straw stalactites and a 58-foot (18 m) high column called Kubla Khan, after the poem. The Big Room contains the world's most extensive formation of brushite moonmilk. Big Room cave tours are closed during the summer for several months (April 15 to October 15) each year because it is a nursery roost for cave bats, however the Throne Room tours remain open year-round.[8]
Other features publicly accessible within the caverns include Mud Flats, Rotunda Room, Strawberry Room, and Cul-de-sac Passage. Approximately 60% of the cave system is not open to the public.[9]
Many different cave formations can be found within the caves and the surrounding park. These include cave bacon, helictites, soda straws, stalactites, stalagmites and others.[12] Cave formations like the stalactites and stalagmites grow approximately a 16th of an inch every 100 years.[13]
Haiku thoughts:
Beneath earth's cool veil,
Stalactites in silence grow,
Whispers of stone deep.

"واحتج الآلاف في لندن على مقتل الصحفية شيرين أبو عاقلة "زهرة فلسطين
On Saturday 14 May, thousands assembled in London, both to commemorate the Nakba and also to protest the murder by the Israeli Army of the veteran Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh ("the daughter of Palestine"), while she was covering one of many recent raids by the Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday 11 May, against the West Bank town of Jenin.
SHIREEN ABU AKLEH'S MURDER
"And if they ask you about Palestine, tell them:
In it there is a martyr,
nursed by a martyr,
photographed by a martyr,
sent off by a martyr,
and prayed for by a martyr"
( Mahmoud Darwish)
Initially, Israeli authorities insisted that she had been killed by Palestinian gunmen, but on the ground examination of the video used to support this claim by the leading Israeli human rights NGO B'Tselem, clearly demonstrated that it was taken far from the location where Shireen had been shot dead in the face, despite the fact that she was wearing a flack jacket and helmet, both clearkly marked 'Press.' Other Journalists who were present at the scene also testified that it was Israeli soldiers who fired the lethal shots, and that there was no clash as was first claimed, a claim which was also echoed by the mainstream media in Britain and the United States.
Her murder came just days after the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS), the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) and the International Federation of Journalists had filed an official complaint at the Hague against Israel for 'the systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists,' with an estimate of fifty having been killed in the last twenty years according to PJS records.
Palestinian anger mounted on Friday 13 May, when Israeli police attacked the mourners in East Jerusalem with batons as they exited St. Joseph's Hospital with the coffin on the way to a local church. Al Jazeera's live video coverage and the testimony of witnesses all seemed to indicate that the attack was entirely unprovoked, with no evidence of 'stone throwing' as suggested by Israeli authorities.
Even had there been any such incident, the police action was entirely disproportionate, smashing a window of the hearse to remove a Palestine flag and her coffin was momentarily dropped as the police attacked even the pallbearers. As the assault was broadcast live around the world, it seemed to be yet further evidence of the complete impunity Israel believes it has, due to the almost unconditional support it receives from the United States, Britain and other Western nations. Diplomatic statements of concern are the most severe sanction the West ever imposes.
In a pathetic response to a question raised in parliament, Amanda Milling, Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East, explained that she had 'publicly expressed my sadness upon hearing the news of the tragic death of veteran Palestinian Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, and called for a thorough investigation... The safety of journalists across the globe is vital and they must be protected when carrying out their critical work.' It seems Israel will once again escape any meaningful consequence for its actions.
However, it's not just that the United Kingdom turns a blind eye to Israeli violence - it also actively supports it.
Israeli pilots are routinely invited to the UK to train alongside the RAF, while the British and Israeli navies also routinely engage in joint exercises, all at a time when Israel's air force regularly attacks civilian infrastructure in Gaza (including Al Jazeera's offices in May 2021) killing 64 civilians since 2010 and when Israel's navy operates to blockade Gaza, where as a consequence one third of essential drugs are unavailable, 54% of the population are food insecure and 95% of the population have no access to safe drinking water.

COMMEMORATION OF THE NAKBA
Palestine solidarity demonstrations to commemorate the Nakba are held annually in London, usually on the Saturday before Nakba Day (15 May), the commemoration of the forced expulsion of 750,000 Palestinians from their homes by Israel, which accelerated following the declaration of establishment of the state of Israel on 14 May 1948.
Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion had informed his political and military colleagues that an Israeli state in which Jews made up only 60 per cent of the population was not viable. As Israeli historian Ilan Pappe points out, the obvious implication was that "the fewer Palestinians in a Jewish state the better."
www.versobooks.com/blogs/3809-the-nakba-and-the-ethnic-cl...
The Nakba had already started as early as November 1947 as British forces. which controlled the Palestine mandate, withdrew to the Port of Haifa leaving Jewish paramilitary groups to control the remaining areas. By May 1948 300,000 Arab residents of the areas within Palestine designated to become Israel had already been expelled, including many Arab residents Jaffa, Safad, Beisan, Acre and Western Jerusalem. That amounted to nearly two out of every five Arabs living on what would be Israel's side of the demarcation line. Most of the remainder were forced out of their homes in the subsequent months.
Israel's military ethnically cleansed some 530 Palestinian towns and villages, destroying almost all the mosques and many of the houses and committing appalling crimes against those Palestinians who had chosen to remain despite the threat of violence. It is estimated that some 15,000 Palestinians were murdered.

UPDATE Saturday evening: The infection seems to be under control, but the wound still requires cleaning and it is very painful. Thank you for thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE: Alida is out of the hospital and doing very well. Hallelujah!
The headline for this photo is perhaps a little misleading but refers back to the late 1970's.
Having seen 50003 before it was named on numerous occasions it remained at Doncaster for quite a time and the only way of finishing my 'set' was to travel to the works for an open day, a bit of a journey from Plymouth. Having obtained a record shot of said loco I waited for it's release back to Laira.
On the late evening of 27th January 1979 I stepped off a train at Plymouth station [having been on the RPPR railtour The Welsh Wizard] and was delighted to see freshly outshopped 50003 sitting in the platform. I could not be bothered to photograph it but at least knew it was back.
Mistake! It had a shunting accident that night and returned to Doni. It wasn't until I had moved to Worcester that I eventually caught up with it again.
Here we see at a later date 50003 Temeraire awaiting attention at Doncaster Works in Febuary 1984
Withdrawn on 15.07.91 Scrapped at MC Metals scrapyard, Glasgow in April 1992
Apologies for the picture quality and scratches on the negative but the 17th October 1981 was a big day for me as I saw my first Deltic and it was on the Southern. 55 015 came South on a railtour called "The Wessex Deltic". Here it is pictured at Eastleigh station. On the way home I saw another Deltic on another railtour at Clapham Junction of all places!

This has been our anniversary weekend. I met Lee 10 years yesterday and have been married to him for 7 years tomorrow. What else could I give him but one of my beautiful tulips? :o)
At times, it is even my intention to make dolls a bit more similar, in order to add to the sisterly charm. Such as the pink haired army of Wanderlings that has been growing and spreading over the years. <3 It is a part of sharing, solidarity and togetherness that I long for and strive to achieve and support in this life. When you see a fellow Wanderling appear on your stream, it is my sincere hope you are able to recognize her and say 'hey, that's my sister!'
Hi friends.
I'm very busy at the moment.
Thank you for your comments, invites, faves and galleries.
See you soon.
Hugs.
Time for more streets and buildings from Leamington. The Parade is the main street, set on a slight hill and with a distinct dog-leg kink in it. It's overwhelmingly Regency in style, almost all buildings (including later infills) now white stucco. And in the lower section, making no attempt to fit in with its surroundings, is the red-brick and stone Town Hall, designed in 1883 by John Cundall. A controversial design then and now, it was also very expensive and construction alone cost £14,000. It's certainly an imposing example of Victorian civic pride. The local newspaper, the Courier, was also enthusiastic, saying, 'The architect is to be congratulated on the magnificent building...the enrichments are so crowded t is really a marvel how the designs could have been executed for the money'.
Cellandines always remind me of walks with my dad when i was a kid.
We used to go for a walk in the local woods and area and these where some of the first flowers each year.
Dads not with us anymore but the celladines come back year after year to remind me
The florist asked me if these flowers reminded me of my mom...and I hesitated because it was probably true :)
For the best mommy anyone could ever ask for...happy mothers day!

It was a little over a year ago when I was in Egypt, and it is a beautiful country with wonderful people. I hope change comes there for them in a peaceful fashion so their wonderful history can be continually enjoyed by others
