I was so excited to see these today at the Chicago History Museum. I was there for a fundraiser. I did not have time to read any of the info about them as I was working, but I may be able to research the Zaretsky sign later. I’ll see ya tomorrow… I’m exhausted.😴

For Lidolil.

Along the boardwalk in Coney Island, two very different couples, each charming in its own way... The wonderful, warm-toned late afternoon light gave everyone a warm glow!

The dramatic couple in the foreground looks as if they walked over from Brighton Beach , at the other end of the boardwalk , where a large population of Russian and Polish emigrants lives. The woman's pose reminds me of an opera singer giving a recital, standing in the crook of the piano. Very classy!!!

One interesting (if not mysterious) detail is the shadow of an approaching stranger's head and shoulders on the woman's hands and shawl...

here are some information about the island Rügen:

Rügen

Rügen (German pronunciation: [ˈʁyːɡən], also lat. Rugia for easier pronunciation) is Germany's largest island by area.[2] It is located off the Pomeranian coast in the Baltic Sea and belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The "gateway" to the island of Rügen is the Hanseatic town of Stralsund. The island, which is linked to the mainland by road and railway over the Rügen Causeway and Rügen Bridge over the two-kilometre-wide Strelasund, has a maximum length of 51.4 km (from north to south), a maximum width of 42.8 km in the south and an area of 926 km². The coast is characterized by numerous bays (both lagoons known as bodden and open bays known as Wieken), as well as projecting peninsulas and headlands. In June 2011, UNESCO awarded the status of a World Heritage Site to the Jasmund National Park, famous for its vast stands of beeches.[3]

The island of Rügen is part of the district of Vorpommern-Rügen with its county seat in Stralsund. The towns on Rügen are: Bergen auf Rügen, Sassnitz, Putbus and Garz/Rügen. In addition, there are the Baltic seaside resorts of Binz, Sellin, Göhren, Baabe and Thiessow.

Rügen is very popular as a tourist destination because of its resort architecture, the diverse landscape and its long, sandy beaches

The second generation of the Plymouth Valiant was introduced in late 1962 featuring all new styling and chassis. A minor update in 1963 (for the 1964 model year) replaced the front end with a grille that incorporated horizontal bars, such as the vehicle pictured. The Valiant offered several variants including a 2-door, a 4-door, a wagon, and a convertible, and was a sales success for Plymouth.

For the months and January and February the Blue Angels reside in El Centro California to practice. Locals to the area can drive to the end of the runway and watch them fly twice per day on Thursdays and Saturdays. From where we stand we get a close and personal view of the aircraft as they fly over our heads.

"There's this abandoned house. It's closed. There's a cat on the windowsill. I think: it must be a clay cat. I come over and it's a real cat. He ate all the flowers in the house. Geraniums. How'd he get in? Or did they leave him there?

There's a note on the door: "Dear Kind Person, Please don't look for valuables here. We never had any. Use whatever you want but don't trash the place. We'll be back."

I saw signs on other houses in different colors: "Dear house, forgive us!" People said goodbye to their homes like they were people. Or they'd written: "we're leaving in the morning." Or: "We're leaving at night." And they'd put the date and even the time. There were notes written on school notebook paper: "Don't beat the cat. Otherwise the rats will eat everything." And then in a child's handwriting: "Don't kill our Zhulka. She's a good cat."

[Closes his eyes.] I've forgotten everything. I only remember that I went there, and after that I don't remember anything. I forgot all of it. I can't count money, my memory's not right. The doctors don't understand it. I go from hospital to hospital.

When I came home from The Zone, I took off all the clothes that I'd worn there and threw them down the trash chute. I gave my cap to my little son, he really wanted it. And he wore it all the time. Two years later they gave him a diagnosis: a tumor in his brain. [silent.] You can write the rest of this yourself. I don't want to talk anymore. [long silence.]

But that sticks in my head: you're walking up to the house, thinking that the house is empty, and you open the door, and there's this cat. That, and those kids' notes."

For the weirdos amongst you who have asked to see my washing machine, here it is. Reminds me of that old Peter Gabriel song Modern Love ...

We had a lovely time at RHS Wisley yesterday. We specifically went to see the "Butterflies in the Glasshouse". They didn't disappoint with plenty flying around, feeding and resting. The most gorgeous colours - very beautiful. This is the blue morpho (Morpho peleides).

"See exotic butterflies take flight amongst the flowers and fruit of the nectar plants in the tropical paradise of the Glasshouse. The tree ferns, tall palms, lush-leaved creepers and dazzling flower displays give an air of expectation and drama – like walking in to a jungle. Butterflies such as the striking blue morpho, giant owl, king swallowtail and colourful Malay lacewing will settle amongst the tropical plantings. Marvel at the colours and sizes of the different species - if you're lucky, one might even land on you!

You’ll be able to see butterflies feeding at special feeding stations, and learn about the lifecycle of butterflies with our puparium. New for 2015 will be a display of sculptures depicting butterflies and caterpillars, by Alison Catchlove an artist based in Shere. Her work has been inspired by previous visits to Butterflies in the Glasshouse.

Aside from the butterfly-friendly plants, such as Plumbago indica, calliandras and lantanas there’s a world-class horticultural display to see. Look out for Magnolia doltsopa with scented creamy white flowers as you enter the Glasshouse. Inside you’ll see the Clivia collection in mid-February, with more unusual variegated cultivars in flower. Aloe x spinosissima in the arid section begins to look its best early in the new year with fantastic grey leaves and spikes of orange flowers." www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/wisley

Pretty Athletic Goddess! Nikon D810 Photos Pretty Swimsuit Bikini Fitness Model Goddess: Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon Cameras!

Loved shooting the awesome Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon Cameras! It was a bit tough sometimes to achieve optimum focus at F1.4 due to the shallow depth of field, but hey--not every eyelash has to be perfectly sharp! I could do it if I and the model were perfectly still, or F1.8 or F2.0 did the trick too. Kept switching it up! We had fun and she loves the photos! :)

Modeling the new black & gold & "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Dynamic Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Odyssey Physics here:

herosodysseyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

After looking through my work, what do you think about Nikon vs. Sony? Do you prefer the Nikon D810 and Nikkor / Tamron / Sigma lenses /glass, or the Sony A7r and Sony Sonnar Carl Zeiss e-mount glass/lenses? I love them both! And I am so excited about the Sony A7rII !

Feel free to ask me any questions! Always love sharing tech talk and insights! :)

And all the best on Your Epic Hero's Odyssey!

View your artistic mission into photography as an epic odyssey of heroic poetry! Take it from Homer in Homer's Odyssey: "Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. Many cities did he visit, and many were the nations with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by sea while trying to save his own life and bring his men safely home; but do what he might he could not save his men, for they perished through their own sheer folly in eating the cattle of the Sun-god Hyperion; so the god prevented them from ever reaching home. Tell me, too, about all these things, O daughter of Jove, from whatsoever source you may know them. " --Samuel Butler Translation of Homer's Odyssey

All the best on your Epic Hero's Odyssey from Johnny Ranger McCoy!

Pretty one piece Swimsuit!

From the golden spiral in the whirlpool galaxy and our very own milkway galaxy, to the golden mean of an athletic models' proportions, to the divine proportions found in a beautiful models' face, to the optimum curves and compositions of my fine art photography, I have found the Fibonacci sequence and golden number Phi to be omni-present. And so it makes sense that I found the golden spiral to naturally emerge in my physics theory--Dynamic Dimensions Theory--which postulates that the fourth dimension is expanding at the rate of c relative to the three spatial dimensions, giving rise to relativity, the quantum, and time and all its arrows and asymmetries. Yes! I have a pPh.D. in physics! Photons of ligth are but matter which surfs the fourth expanding dimension en route to creating a beautiful photograph.

And yes I am working on a book combining my philosophies on Phi, fine art photography, physics, the golden mean and number, the divine proportion, and the natgural emergence of the Fibonacci numbers in life and beauty. The book, filled with my photography aongside classic poetry, epic physics, and philosophy, will be called The Golden Hero's Odyssey. :)
