My wife sharing her gorgeous feet in my favorite thong sandals. We were enjoying a beautiful fall day on a small lake.
My wife showing off her sexy feet in the car. I’m lucky we weren’t in an accident. She is such a distraction. Yes, she took her own pictures.
Age shouldn't affect you. It's just like the size of your shoes - they don't determine how you live your life! You're either marvellous or you're boring, regardless of your age. - Steven Morrissey
I love wearing sneakers as my footware of choice. I'd rather walk around freely wearing them, going about tough terrain or odd angular hills and not have to worry about my feet or back hurting in heels. I am an avid walker so a good pair of sneakers that are fit to your stylish needs and life-style are a must-have. I am such an odd girl sometimes...I wonder if I will grow out of this phase and become a girly-girl one day. I've been pressured from many ends such as family and friends. It doesn't seem becoming of me. I like wearing what reflects my personality and taste and my taste resides on another side of the spectrum it seems. I am more attracted to styles from the past, realism and odd eccentricities. Just because I don't dress in a posh manner doesn't mean I'm not a girl. And on special occasions I do indulge on my feminine side a bit more. It's all a balance. I find that sort of posh style a wall to one's personality and comfort, but I can understand that it is an actual reflection of some people's personality.
Likewise, I don't think I'll grow out of it too soon, this has been a lifetime in the making. It doesn't matter how old I am much like it doesn't matter what my shoe age is. I think I'll forever be a hippy.
The Guild Church of St Margaret of Pattens: The dedication is to Margaret of Antioch
Situated in Rood Lane, Eastcheap, London, EC3M 1HS. St Margaret’s is Church of England and was first recorded in 1067, a year after ‘The Battle of Hastings’. Originally built in wood, it was rebuilt in stone at some undetermined date. It was neglected and fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1530 but by 1538 it was rebuilt.
Unfortunately it was destroyed in the great fire of London in 1666 and it wasn’t until 1687 that it was rebuilt but it was worth the wait as Sir Christopher Wren was the architect. The exterior is notable for the spire which is 200ft tall. It was Wren’s third highest and the only one that he designed in the ‘Medieval Style’. The interior of the church is a basic rectangle but it does have some very unusual furnishings. It possesses the only canopied pews in London, they are at the back of the church close to the entrance. These were intended for the churchwardens. There is also a punishment box carved with a head of the devil, this is where wrongdoers would sit during the mass.
It was one of the few churches that escaped damage in ‘The Blitz’. In 1954 it ceased to be a parish church and became one of the Guild church. There is no Sunday service but there are regular week-day services.
The name ‘patten’ derives from wooden-soled overshoes that were worn to prevent people from ruining their own footware because of the poor state of the roads (mud, horse manure and other excrement tipped from the building, there was no sewerage facilities as we have today). There is a small museum inside the church, with display cases showing the history and products of the Pattenmakers and the Basketmakers. Since the 15th century the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers have been associated with St. Margaret’s and there are panels on the south wall that show past masters. The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers also have close links to St. Margaret’s and there are similar panels to commemorate their past masters.
Finally, in one corner of the church is a closed cabinet where there is written ‘For God, King & Country’ and there is also a dedication on the bottom of the cabinet. Open the doors and inside are memorial plaques to the submariners of a ‘K4’ class submarine that went down in a tragic accident of the coast of Fife in September 1918 with the loss of 105 men. There are also 12 other WWI casualties not connected to the sinking that also appear on the memorial. One of my photographs shows the whole story.

What drove men like Shackleton to endure extreme hardship and risk their lives in the discovery of the last continent? The Norwegians describe it as the yearning forever to go to the far, dark cold places. Shackleton had his own answer. In the first paragraph of The Heart of the Antarctic, his account of the Nimrod expedition, he writes:
Men go out into the void spaces of the world for various reasons. Some are actuated simply by the love of adventure, some have the keen thirst for scientific knowledge, and other again are drawn by ‘the lure of little voices’, the mysterious fascination of the unknown. I think in my own case it was a combination of these factors that determined me to try my fortune once again in the frozen south.
still to add: gloves, goretex bivvie bag, footware of some sort...
will set it all up outside when it's dry.
Rawalpindi has so much to offer in every direction. Being a center hub for the areas in north, it has developed a culture and heritage which is centuries old. Still this city has such a wonderful cultural fusion that is second to none.
Talking about heritage, how one can forget those buildings like Purana Qila (Old Fort), Bagh Sardaran (Chief's Garden), Haveli Sujaan Singh & Last but not least Jamia Masid. Jamia Masjid road is known for its footware factories, spices & oil merchants along with the food factory in further Banni Square and Kirtaar Pura.
There are small narrow streets, many of which may lead you to dead-ends inside the Mohalla Chan Chiragh, Mohalla Bagh Sardaran, Ganj Mandi and Bhabra Bazar. These ancient heritage of us are in bad shape due to lack of support from the people as well as government of Pakistan. It is our duty to preserve these gems from the past for the future generation.
Taken: Bagh Sardarn Square, Jamia Masjid Road, Inner Rawalpindi City, Punjab, Pakistan.

This mural shows the moment when a woman needing healing, due to persistant bleeding, touched the hem of Jesus' coat & was healed. (Mark 5:25-34). The artist is Daniel Cariola. Magdala is the home town of Mary Magdala who was the first disciple to see the resurrected Christ. In the last decade archaeologists have unearthed a synagogue of Jesus' time. The site is run by the Mexico-based Legion of Christ who have built a chapel called Duc in Altum.
