Nokia started here. This was earlier Nokia Tires and Nokia Footware, now Nokian, as it is in Nokia town. On 60's bus was riding just pass this building, now the street is internal behind Nokian Footware gates. Bus terminal was just next to the building, now also that area is in private use only.

A service of worship that has each family present an item or a sequence. The Niuean Community in Wellington celebrate White Sunday at St James in Newtown. The service is followed by a meal at which the children are honoured.

I was in Target getting some shopping done when I walked past the footware aisle.
I saw these and was glad that hubby had upgraded our phones to camera phones LOL! I HAD to take a photo from my friend Lisa... She's a sock monkey addict :)
Endless kilometres of gravel river flats. many river crossings so feet are kept cool at least. Need good fitting footware... feet are always wet and river boulders twist!

On this first leg of the hike we didn't have adequate footware. These sharp rocks were murder on our shoes.
