loved the color of the house. seemed almost tuscan even though i was in the middle of san francisco.

First use of the hammer drill with side arm attachment. It went through the brick quite easily using Bosch blue granite bits. Starting the hole off with a 1/4" bit and then stepping up to the 1/2" was a good choice... the second time around.

Used leftover pieces to sturdy up the long boards.

Put in some landscape fabric to keep all the dirt in and not drain out of the holes.

This was our view looking east down the street.

I found this in a flower box outside the Outrigger Grill in Long Ravine Campground at Rollins Lake

Miniatures Roses growing in a flowerbox on our upper deck.

The "Flowers for Friday" is my tribute to our dear beloved *hb19 (R.I.P.). Although he left us on

May 12th, he forever remains in my heart and memories.

Up on the roof the daffodils shelter under the pink wall.

Late summer geraniums in late day sun.

Japanese beetle has found a good lunch. Too bad it's in my flower box, that pest.

Another rose from the past, older but never posted.

And the month when lovers, subject to the same force which reawakens the plants,

feel their hearts open again, recall past trysts and past vows, and moments of tenderness, and yearn for a renewal of the magical awareness which is love.

—Sir Thomas Malory, La Morte d'Arthur

today it has been 4 years since my husband asked me to be his girlfriend. these have truly been the best years of my life--i no longer feel as if a part of me is missing. when i met him, i knew that i would spend my life with him; he quieted more than my mind, he quieted my soul. the certainty of our relationship is what gives me confidence to pursue art in a serious manner, and to know that my destiny in life has already been partially revealed to me.

all those trials i went through before him--every restless moment--was meant to prepare me for the life we have together. every day is a learning process still, of course, but fundamentally, the path i am on has become considerably more well-lit. and that has been such a liberating thing for me!

i love you, scott. :)

Notice the framed religious artwork with the flowerbox underneath it; these appear on almost every street corner, and are often very old.

Lost, picked up, snowed on, rained on, frozen over and captured. Image being looked at, read about and commented (maybe... hint).
