Ms Geranium, which kindly is blooming now, has been decorated with raindrops. I'm not sure that she's too happy about it.

Another Morro Bay flower box shot. For MB locals, I strongly suggest you stop and check them out, there are lots! For Out-of -Town viewers, I hear Death Valley is nice this time of year.

still cold but sunny at last... HFF!

wishing you a wonderful weekend :)

Perhaps I should tell you the story of Oktoberfest!

Once upon a time, there was a very pretty Princess Therese in the castle of the small town Hildburghausen.

In Munich the Bavarian King´s son heard of Therese´s beauty and decided to marry her in 1810. And because he was so happy about his wonderful bride, he organized a big event for all people of Munich to celebrate his wedding.

This was the day, when Oktoberfest was born!

P.S.: Therese´s grandson was the famous fairy-tale Bavarian King Ludwig, who became famous by his castles Neuschwanstein and Linderhof and by his friendship to Richard Wagner and by his mysterious death.

If you want, you can buy these things in the shop behind this window. And you can have a cup of coffee or tea there!

Went to an estate sale...no Barbies, but this house. It took me a bit to set it up (it all folds up into a 'briefcase'.)

I'm clearly missing all the furniture that was supposed to unfold from the walls; and the floor is intact, but more than a little warped.; but the bones are good.

*Sigh* another project.

For my neglected 100x project. Some beautiful Kale type leaves that are part of a bunch of flowers bought by a friend. They seem to be hardy and beautifully structural in the bunch. Using my lensbaby.

Interflora says on their website "Surprisingly, ornamental kale plants rarely put out real flowers. Kale’ flowers’ are actually known for their lush heads of ruffled leaves, which make an amazing addition to bouquets.

Bold in appearance and often symmetrical, they are usually selected as a focal flower.

A bouquet of kale flowers alone is a simple but stunning arrangement, whilst one or two heads of kale flower surrounded by mixed flowers creates a beautiful variety of textures and sizes." www.interflora.com.au/blog/all-about-kale-flowers

Seen in a downtown flowerbox . I think it might be 'Nemesia'

Nemesia is a charming cool-season annual with pretty little snapdragon-shape flowers -- often fragrant -- that bloom in a wide range of colors. It does best in spring and fall (winter in mild-winter climates) Nemesia will continue to bloom right through the summer into fall. ( from Wikipedia )

Have a nice day :-)

Window Wednesday

Had an Optometrist appointment today in Trumansburg and stopped and took another photo of this window. The flower box needs some colour! However, it's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow, so flowers will have to wait!

Growing in a flowerbox on our deck are these tiny daisies.

This was one of those, "Stop the car !! I need to get out !!" moments.

Don't you just love the way a wooden cottage looks after a rain ?

The high contrast in colors and tones was worth the stop.

One more shot of the window boxes. I guess I like the way they came out. They add a certain gingerbread look to my house.

I tried to tone it down a bit because it was just so bright!...This colorful house is a fabulous restaurant in Chester, Nova Scotia
