Tulips in my window and NOT from my garden, they are coming but no buds yet !

Every time we travel to Rome, I try to visit my favorite window in the ancient Trastevere section of the city. I love the simplicity of the decor and the wonderfully textured wall!

Flower boxes add clour to the sandstone exterior in a pair of windows along Regent Street near the corner with West Campbell Street in Glasgow, Scotland, 6 September 2013.

The Flowers were everywhere and the colorful houses are all different

I took this image of the fly on my balcony.

For the lightning I used a self-made flash diffusor on top of my camera and the 100mm macro lens with a 68mm extension tube.

I captured this picture on my balcony. The hoverfly was floating in front of my flower-box. It also changed its position, so I could take a picture of its side (see my other pictures).

Though soil is the source, flower is the purpose. Though the Divine is the source, life is the purpose. #sadhguru

My son had given me the projector and the wireless speakers for birthday or Mother's Day. So I had all the makings. All I had to buy was the DVD found here atmosfearfx.com/decorations/ghostly-apparitions and two $1.00 semi translucent tablecloths to get going.

I had to rip the DVD because I do not have a regular projector, only the one you see here, and that operates off of either an iPhone or an iPad. So I ripped it and put the horizontal clips (comes in vertical too) on the iPhone. Oh, I DID get a looping program as the in-house video player on the iPhone doesn't let you loop.

There is a tripod set up in my bedroom with two Bogen articulated arms holding a piece of cedar shake that I place the projector and iPhone on. Running for 4 hours, it only used 37% of the iPhone battery...but I did have the projector plugged into a portable battery, which sat on the bed.

The bedroom has a nice-sized three pane window that overlooks the driveway and the street. Wireless speakers are in the flowerbox outside of the window. The are garages beneath the window, so it is sufficiently high enough to pull this thing off.

When darkness comes each night...I start it going....you must go to the site and see the DVD. It is great fun.

This charming bay window with flowerboxes is on front of the train depot at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. Built in 1966 as a replica of an old-time train depot, the museum's collection of mascots and badges is displayed inside.

The heat in Rome was brutal. I barely survived! I was quite fascinated with windows and doors in Rome because of their colours and textures. The poor flowers in this window box were bravely withstanding the heat although the venetian blind was threatening them!

First mushrooms I've found growing in a flowerbox on a bench in our garden!

I'm grateful to Machel for ID-ing these: they are Conocybe filaris.

Happy November!

I rather like this bench. Inside each letter is a local landmark.

The 2019 public art project entries were unveiled last Saturday. They are benches with attached flower boxes built by the Veterans Outreach group and decorated by local artists. The theme is "Racine's Past, Present and Future".

We're having 2 whole days of sun, so my little flowers are really

'soaking' it up!!

Unfortunately, a big storm is approaching for the weekend, so this

little beauty will be soaked and I won't be here to protect it!!

Piazza Guidiccioni in Lucca Italy. I asked this guy to smile as we were strolling around Lucca. I am glad he smiled, and I am glad I got the shot.

Piazza Guidiccioni a Lucca, Italia. Ho chiesto a questo ragazzo di sorridere mentre passeggiavamo per Lucca. Sono contento che abbia sorriso e sono contento di aver scattato la foto.
