The Mill at Fulbourn, often passed, it hides behind trees and hedges, revealed at 24-27m AGL by a camera suspened from a kite line.

The wind was really rough today but it was Easterly and the sun was on, this shot was taken after I'd lowered the ff30 and replaced it with the smaller HQ2.0, which pulled a lot less hard but tended to drop between gusts. Comapare to www.flickr.com/photos/bblakecambridge/5661632654/ to see just how much movement between shots there was, scary, but in a fun kind of way!

After about 50 minutes of unsuccessful attempts, I finally managed to get a small gust to get my new HQ Flowform 2.0 (about 32 sq ft, 2.0 represents sq m) airborne from the garden at home. My trusty FF16 wouldn't lift and I broke yet another rod on my Rok when assembling it and have no spares until my KAPshop order arrives in the next few days :-(
Despite the extra surface area I was really surprised as to how easy the pull on the line was. The wind was a steady Bft 4 from the south and I expected quite a battle but it was a pleasant session.
Another surprise was that the flying angle was lower than my FF16. This meant that I could let out all the line (285 winds or loops in on the hoop when I was done taking pictures!!)
The only disappointment about the kite is that the design is upside down in my opinion. I get to see black and white from the ground. Anything looking down on the kite gets to see the colours of the rainbow. Don't you think that is odd?
