Yellowstone Falls consist of two major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River, within Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, United States. As the Yellowstone river flows north from Yellowstone Lake, it leaves the Hayden Valley and plunges first over Upper Yellowstone Falls and then a quarter mile (400 m) downstream over Lower Yellowstone Falls, at which point it then enters the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, which is up to 1,000 feet (304 m) deep.
Cascading from the 590,000 year old Canyon Rhyolite lava flow, Lower Yellowstone Falls is the largest volume waterfall in the Rocky Mountains of the United States. These falls are 308 feet (94 m) high, or nearly twice as high as Niagara Falls. The volume of water flowing over Lower Yellowstone Falls can vary from 680 cu ft/s (19 m3/s) in the autumn, to 8,400 cu ft/s (240 m3/s) at peak runoff in late springtime. The flow rate of Lower Yellowstone Falls is much less than that of Niagara Falls, as the Yellowstone River is only 70 feet (21 m) at the point at which it goes over the lower falls, whereas the Niagara River is 2,600 feet (790 m) in width as it approaches the crest line of Horseshoe Falls.
Today, there are numerous vantage points for viewing the falls. The Canyon loop road skirts the west side of the canyon with several vehicle parking areas. One trail leads down to the brink of the lower falls, a steep third of a mile (600 m). Another vantage point descends from the east down a series of stairs attached to the cliffs.
The Lower Falls area is located just to the south and east of Canyon Village in Yellowstone National Park. A one-way loop drive starting south from Canyon Junction takes one to the brink of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and offers four viewpoints, with the first stop at the trail that leads to the top of the Lower Falls. The one-way drive continues east and north past the other viewpoints, rejoining the main Grand Loop road from the east at Canyon Junction once more.

Newberry National Volcanic Monument was designated on November 5, 1990 to protect the area around the Newberry Volcano in the United States. It was created within the boundaries of the Deschutes National Forest and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. It includes 50,000 acres (20,000 ha) of lakes, lava flows, and spectacular geologic features in central Oregon. These photos are taken from the summit Paulina Peak 7,985 ft, (2,434 m). Just below us are East Lake and Paulina Lake and The Big Obsidian Flow, created 1,300 years ago, covers 700 acres. It is hard to fathom as you drive through the summit area that you are within a 17 square mile caldera at the summit of a 500 square mile volcano, a volcano that remains very active to this day. Newberry is both seismically and geothermally active. Geologists believe the caldera sits over a shallow magma body only 2 to 5 kilometers deep. Visitors see numerous cinder cones (over 400 throughout the area), miles of basalt flows, as well as rhyolite flows of obsidian.
A Tiananmen Square is the biggest public square and has a most important international history. On the other hand, the existing Tiananmen Square has problems which relate to its meaning, and sense of place but, is weakened by its status and layout as a place to stay and lack of care regarding its special use, beauty and environmental circulation.
We intend to awaken a meaning for this central area of Beijing as well as, bringing meaning of place into relief by proposing an iconic landscape. Therefore, Tiananmen Square needs to become a point of relief in a country of tourist attractions, that can contribute to the economical growth of Beijing. We propose to connect whole complex commemorative buildings near to Tiananmen Square as one complex and integrated and transient inhabitation through a structure of a form which applies the information gathered from people's flow [like liquid shape] as consideration of relationship with the existing edges or circumference of the site.
We consider five key points to suggest new landscape, first of all, an access that people can use to approach the commemorative building through a variety ways through the structure. Secondly, new existences of place which can be used as locations in which to stay and take a rest in the site. The third function is one that can be used to reduce the damage caused by atmospheric phenomena of the wind carrying Beijings famous yellow dusts, through using an elaborate air purification system and eco materials. Fourthly, originality, it will be a landmark construction of unique form. Finally, interaction, it is by using flexible structures on intermediate levels and spaces which will provide opportunities for communication between a space and a people, and each user.
