The 1947 electric milk float (until 1960 it was a bread van) was invited to do a few circuits of the arena inbetween military displays. The driver on this occasion was formerly a pilot. Being food related and just post-war, it was exhibited near the Ministry of Food display.

It almost looks like someone has been collecting the flood detritus. That was probably not the EPA man; there is no way he could walk that far. He WAS in shape... round is a shape isn't it? Not only would he floated, HE'D roll! I was out near the walkable end of the river road (about a mile) that strikes northwest from the back of Broley but this time in January and wondering why I haven't snapped all the interest yet. From my autumn and winter shots, this was now pretty darn bleak and without a sky so I opted for for the variable neutral density filter. I will say that it pretty much sucks but I have gotten a couple of shots after some practice. I walked the road but this time one of the bald eagle young decided to use the old tree for rodent spotting; the BoCo man said the rodents are collected downstream and are really stinking. I didn't ask for the location. He is going to find it's a rough job. After all, Ronnie thought the flood flushed all the burrowing critters downstream. Afterward, I decided to walk over to Ramey as long as the fence was cleared out by the floods. Ramey's a real poster boy for the flood damage and a wealth of photo ops. That makes several treks to Broley and Ramey in a few days.
This autumn painted the lane with it's summer leaves but now the trees are bare and quite stark. When I first saw this, I had to chuckle. The skies have been a really mixed bag lately. The February cruds have started early this year.
The floods came from the river up ahead and flowed across Broley and Ramey, out the lane to the farm and across the gravel ponds in the back and to the south of where I am standing here. And they thought that the only trouble the gravel pits could bring was West Nile. I had no choice but to walk the river road on the north of the ponds. Boy, the river bottom collected a load of propane and empty gasoline tanks. Anything that floats.
