So yeah, I recently found out that I have a registered 'eye condition'. I always figured it was just microscopic dirt on my eye or something. Oh well, it doesn't bother me much and they only rarely even show themselves, still a bit surprising though...
.
So yeah, this isn't LEGO. Sorry for that. I probably won't be building much for a while since I have this to sort out, as well as having to work on a huge-ish history assignment. :/
I am, however, hoping to get a mech done in time for Mechahub's for Armored April and then find time for some bigger MOCs again (which has been a while, August last year, actually).
I’ve been eyeing these inflatable cup holders for literally a year now but I could never justify paying $10-$20 for *one* but turns out Cotton On (a clothing store) is clearancing out a whole bunch for $3 each so I had to grab one.
I picked the swan cuz, next to the flamingo, it’s one of the most common pool floats I’ve seen on Instagram.
Henry’s enjoying floating around in my bath tub though.
Still a lot of house floats for Mardi Gras this year, and I DO hope it continues! For anyone who doesn't want to go to parades, driving around or walking was great fun to see the houses decorated for Mardi Gras!

Good evening Flickrers!
As per usual, I have been poor at uploading. I haven't had much impetus to get up and take photos thanks to the weather!
Anyway, hope you like it!

I really like how this turned out. It's just a small plant or flower, whatever, that I saw along the sidewalk. Bugs and bees seem to like them. This one is still green but it turns to yellow. Not sure what it's called but it certainly is interesting when you see it close up.
For the background I used a Church's chicken box and the rest is simply reflection from a glass table. The really interesting effect is how it seems to float and that the table is invisible.
This frozen parade float features a giant rotating snowflake that turns as the wheels move! It’s accompanied by waving yeti, a polar bear, a snowman, and an ice queen. And what better way to pull an ice-themed float than an ice cream truck!
I built this for @lolugclub’s parade float challenge, and I was inspired by the 70804 Ice Cream Machine and the collectible minifigures.
The full pic of the Belles float, in my opinion, the only one that truly topped it was the pic of the the TG buffalo that was pushed in front of a truck.
This is this first time the Belles had a float in this parade in about 10 years.
I want to thank Marcie [ who is also a flickr girl], her GF Julie for making the Buffalo Belles sign.
[Great work Julie.] And CarolAnn for helping out with the the rainbow signs, it was great teamwork and I could never have done it by myself.
Also, Tina provided the signs that are on the doors.
This was our first attempt at a float and we didn't know what the final product would it would look like until it was all together as Tina had the door signs, Marcie and Julie were working on the pink Buffalo Belles sign that is above the cab, and I was finishing up the rainbows after our Belles float meeting at my house in May.
I like it but it will be better for the pride parade in Erie PA. in August.
Went to the skatepark with some friends this weekend to do some more photos for my new series I am working on, on levitation/floating. More to come!
pics taken with a 50mm f/1.4 lens. tuttle cameras was at the photographer event lending out lenses so naturally i got myself the f/1.4 since i knew that the lighting conditions were very tricky. great thing was that there were a bunch of nikon lenses and they were even lending out d3s and d300s. and all that at no charge! sweet!
One of the glass floats that decorate my home office. This room has a nautical theme. Even though I've never lived near the water, I love the nautical look.

The bed from the Float collection sports modern geometric lines, making it a neat centerpiece for your bedroom set.
