Flickr skips and jumps like never before and I don't know what's what anymore.
So how are you doing out there dear Flickr friends?
If you feel you've been missed, it's not YOU, it's FLICKR! I will list some of the issues I'm suffering from and perhaps You can add to it below or just give me a nod, then I will send it to Flickr admin. (They might just laugh, but you never know.)
a) I don't see everybody's photos in the main activity feed. Even when switching from "People" to "All Activity" in the menu.
b) You guys can't see all my photos either. (Hence the TAG) If you're not tagged, it's because you don't allow it or some such.
c) The new 'Activity Feed' is very tiresome. Clicking back and forth to see your photos and back to the main page again and so on.
d) I don't always get notified when you answer me back on a comment on your stream.
e) I don't always get notified when you send me a mail.
f) Writing tags has become a nuisance.
g) New comments get clumped together with old comments under the bell, making it hard to see if I've already read it and answered or not.
h) - Anything I missed you would like to add.

I'm NOT planning to leave Flickr. It's still the best forum out there for me and I have ALL of YOU here that I wouldn't miss for the world. Only, that's what I've been doing lately.

This particular shot is one for a group here on Flickr ( Weekly Photo Challenge ) that hosts a weekly photo challenge for all of its members. The idea is that they provide you with a theme and you have a week to come up with an idea and produce the shot. Depending on what the theme is, it can really make you work outside of your comfort zone as it forces you to look at things differently than you may have before. In this instance, the weekly challenge was to shoot a name brand and this is my entry for the challenge. The hard part wasn't coming up with a brand to shoot (Guinness is a pretty obvious choice for me) but actually coming up with a decent shot was. I haven't really tried any shots like this in the past so there was quite a bit of experimentation before coming up with the final product.
This particular shot was taken on the antique wooden chest that we are currently using as a coffee table. I placed a piece of glass on on top of it so I could create a faint reflection and then placed a black backdrop behind the subjects. The only light I used was from the living room window. I did do some editing in CS3 before adding the border and that was it. One of the best parts about the whole exercise was that besides learning a few things along the way, I got to drink my subject afterwards. :-)
As always, any comments and suggestions on how to improve are appreciated. :-)

Well, my first fixie/fixed-gear/single speed bicycle or whatever you call it.
Fixie conversion: Bike started out as a free-gear road bike that I bought from auction a month ago. It used to be yellow in color and in standard condition,free-gear. Most parts was taken off the bike except for the seat post, frame, and wheel. Original paint was so dull and I repainted it black. I made that blue frame-bar padding with Japan flag on it. Hand made! And,notice that blue chain? It is so orgasmic. Gear ratio 48T/16T. I know it's kinda tough ratio,but i'll get use to it.

i was just featured on the explore page for the very first time yesterday and this, even though a lot of pictures get on the explore page, is a very big accomplishment for me. it motivated me even more to keep going. i drew some concepts and i'm having a photo shoot with someone over the weekend (with a solid idea !!). it feels good.
anyway, so i realized that i'm going to be start using flickr more often and seeing that you didn't have to scroll very far to see my REALLY old stuff (the embarrassing stuff) I decided to make a plethora of pictures public. they don't have titles, but i'll probably get around to it. maybe.
in other news, this photo turned out less than i wanted but it's no surprise considering i suck at self portraits. i'll improve someday. also, my mom tried to come in in the middle of it and i didn't want her to so she threatened to take away my photography. oh, mother.

2 - Difficile scrivere un commento che contenga più di 3 parole
3 - Non possiamo vedere chi favorisce le nostre foto
4 - Non possiamo vedere in quali gruppi appare la foto
5 - Le immagini degli award non saranno visibili
6 - Gli inviti non saranno più visibili. Gli ultimi appariranno solo in Attività Recente, gli altri andranno perduti.
7 - Per gli Admin diventerà impossibile gestire i gruppi per cui molti chiuderanno.
8 - Le nostre descrizioni, incluse citazioni, link a YouTube o altri siti saranno nascoste
