We humans are quite a resilient bunch. We can often surprise ourselves by overcoming challenges we initially thought impossible. Celebrate that inner strength and share it with us this #FlickrFriday.
Interpret the theme #UseTheForce as you like in the upcoming days, take a shot and share it to our Flickr Friday group pool by the next Friday, and we will feature our favorites in Flickr blog.

Original idea from LarimdaME. All the cool kids are doing it.
Flickr blogged June 27, 2005 and again on June 28.

Thank you for another fun year sharing our doll hobbies on Flickr! This collage is simple because one photo had the most favs, views, and comments - the red playscale cabinet I made from a box. Probably helped to be the "winner" because I posted it early in the year so it has had a lot of time to accumulate views.

My personal favorite is my childhood/teen dollhouse renovated dining room that I completed in March. That dollhouse addition nearly went to the Salvation Army a few years ago. Now it is a treasure.

Thanks for all of your enthusiasm for my doll and dollhouse projects all year! This hobby brings me a lot of peace and sanity. It is great to have like minded people with whom to share it. :)

The water tower at the Neckardreef was built between 1934 and 1935 by order of the municipality Maartensdijk.
It is designed in the style of the Amsterdam School by architect JL Pateer, waterworks manager in the north west of Utrecht. The tower was built as part of an employment project during the crisis years. The octagonal tower has a height of 48.6 meters. The concrete flat bottom tank has a capacity of 500 m³.
Due to annexation of a part of the municipality Maartensdijk, the tower came in 1954 within the boundaries of the city of Utrecht . The tower is now enclosed by the Water Tower Park in Overvecht.
The tower has the status of a national monument.

Springtime signifies birth. The fallen leaves of autumn are replaced by flowering bulbs shooting up and flowers getting ready to bloom. February is a bit early for Spring, even in South Hampton Roads VA, but I'll take it!!!

This new Flickr version, while good in parts, in others is dreadful. Getting rid of Pro accounts is terrible. Will Flickr listen and adapt according to the negative feedback? I doubt it. I love Flickr. For me it is my favourite thing on the net, but they have messed it up. If you want to add your voice to the thousands who have voiced their displeasure, you can do so here - www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/72157633547442506/page76/. You cannot see my extra photo in the comments today (or any day in the future, so please click here to see new DSLR photo - www.flickr.com/photos/rebelsabu/8765005046/)
Please Flickr, listen to your customers (that won't last for long) and your users!

Beta feedback : Completed / Top ideas / Hot ideas
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------
Beta is a test preview of the change that is getting ready to be implemented soon. It can be for a limited group of flickr members, intended to seek feedback and correct faults ( if any), before it is made public.
Change is good and public has always welcomed good changes. The preference for Windows XP by most people even after the introduction of Vista is a classic example of public acceptance. The public liked and preferred the predecessor ( Windows XP ) and the follower ( Windows 7 and Windows 8 ) versions of Vista. A change is good and often gladly welcomed by public, if it provides more utilities and user friendliness, without depriving even a single advantage of the predecessor.
The Beta version is unacceptable to the majority of Flickr users* ( who happened to experience it ) , because it's not user friendly and has only disadvantages to mention. *Please check the Beta feedback : Completed / Top ideas / Hot ideas
The layout itself is a disaster. Please check : Try our new photo experience beta / Comment box
However they try, it's quite evident that it's impossible to provide more space for descriptions, comment box, and comments; not to mention comments with pictures , group invites / awards. The more they try to fix it, the more cumbersome it becomes. The buddy icons now appear as dots making the page more unaesthetic than what you see in the earlier pictures of beta . They are desperately trying to make it appealing and user friendly, which is literally impossible with the proposed layout .
It's a big challenge for the programmers to try find means to provide more space in a vertical column which is already cramped.

It started at 2pm on Sunday, April 26th so the London Flickr Group is now almost halfway through their London Photo Trail.
Anyone can still get involved (well, as long as you have London photos.......). We're be announcing two locations per day, corresponding to locations from the route of our postponed photowalk. Each location has a new group thread and over the course of the week people are encouraged to post a maximum of three photos from the location ( 500x330 pixels or smaller ), either from their archives or by uploading newly processed images.
Starting at the Monument to the Great Fire of London so far we've 'visited' The Walkie Talkie, Leadenhall Market, Lloyds of London, the Gherkin. Next we head eastwards to Spitalfields and conclude in the vicinity of Brick Lane on Sunday May 3rd.
For those that aren't familiar with the bits of London we'll be 'visiting' there will still be an opportunity to participate as there will also be a number of typical London subjects such as red phone boxes and street art included within the 'route'.
This is primarily intended as a social event so as well as getting involved by contributing photos people should feel free to ask questions about the locations, photographic techniques etc. If you know of interesting facts or intriguing stories about locations then it would be good to hear them. When it is then safe to organise a rescheduled photowalk this collection of images should prove a source of great inspiration.
Head over to the London Flickr Group for more details : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup
P.S. This Flickr stickr is part of a large batch sent to me by Flickr HQ to hand out at the postponed photowalk. These will be distributed when we do manage to reschedule but in the meantime you have to make do with a virtual sticker.........

One, two, three, four … tell us that you love us more. This week for the Flickr Friday challenge we want to see some cool or important-to-you #Numbers. Find a street sign, or graffiti, or numbers printed somewhere. Maybe a fibonacci-sequenced tattoo? It’s up to you! We can’t wait to see what you come up with. Be sure to use the tag #Numbers and add your photo to the Flickr Friday Group Pool by Thursday afternoon next week.

Well as iv just seen the world of Flickr has changed. I'v had a play and it's well.... ok. Not so keen on the huge thumbs in the home page and the fact you can't see the amount of views from the main screen.
