Just playing around, had to change the batteries out of my flash. Not sure how I lose so much juice so quickly. I really didn't have anything to photograph, my mind was else where.

A very distant and heavily cropped photo of this Pileated Woodpecker, seen in Griffith Woods on 10 February 2014. Always a thrill to see one of these large Woodpeckers, but I always seem to miss the sightings that are very close! One of these days ..... : ) Posted mainly so that I can add it to my Griffith Woods set.

This is only test photo, i bought used brick ford the flash and mounted it under the camera, flash sync is working, now u must to learn how to point the flash.

The result of an evening mucking around with a borrowed flash. I think I've found what I want for Christmas...
Here is a pic, I removed the butterfly stitches to give it a clean and change the dressing. I know what you thinking, “Akiro, that is merely a flesh wound”. One would have to agree, but the problem is the depth it might have gone, all that stopped the blade was the handle bit that locks the blade in. My nurse is concerned about the bruising that seems to have formed, a possible indication of damage deeper down. The cut is only 3/4th of an inch long, but it’s the depth it went in which could be the greatest problem. For now I just have to keep it clean and wait. It’s doing my fucking nut in as I can put weight on the heel of my foot.
"Friends uke nited" flash mob in Gloucester city centre this afternoon. They were introduced by Gloucester's Town Crier (and world's loudest town crier!) Alan Myatt and started off by playing 'Jingle Bells', getting everyone in the Christmas spirit.

She's starting to eat foods now. The delicacies on the menu include mushed rice and carrots to this point. Actually, she's displaying quite an interest in food and eats her serving pretty quickly. I used an amber filter over the flash to keep the lighting consistent with the room lights.
A rather slow Keeshond is apparently fearsome enough to make The Flash turn around. On YouTube here.
Some of the last images taken when my old camera died. I've played with the colors a bit, but the smudge effect was purely accidental.

Macro Monday - theme: DIY
I made brackets like these for each of my flash units. When a flash is on an umbrella adapter with an umbrella, with this bracket it's flat and very close to the stem of the umbrella, aimed along the center axis (instead of 5"-8" offset in typical position on an umbrella adapter). Also, the weight of the flash unit counter-balances the umbrella better.
