Week 32: F is for Flash

Flash

I just got a new external flash for my B-Day. Here are some experiments with it. The top shot is just natural light from some small overhead flood lights. The second shot is with the flash aimed directly at the subject. The third is with the flash bounced off the ceiling. I've got a lot to learn about using it, but I like the results so far.

Aiden's Birthday

Shot with a Fuji XT-1 and the Fuji 16-55 F2.8 lens. Lighting was with Elinchrom D-Lite RX 2 heads in soft boxs and a quadra ranger head in a beauty dish.

This guy was the most photogenic of the bunch. His shirt exposed well, his hair always did dramatic things, and his arms and legs were everywhere. Here's my favorite of the night. Minor editing: denoise, levels, saturation, crop.
