The beautiful fishtail braid my loving husband did last night.

My hair in a fishtail braid after I've oiled it.

I had to grab my camera when I found Felix sprawled out on my bed with his little tongue poking out!

Another fishtail braid done by my husband this time after an oiling.

Prefer this one to my first attempt (deleted that photo, didn't like it - sorry to those who faved!) but still have stray loops sticking out. Need more practice.

My hair in a fishtail braid after yesterday's oiling.

My boss has many talents, the least of which is the ability to braid hair in many different ways. At a recent campaign meeting, she did these braids.

Taking from the World Peace Pagoda over view to Fishtail part of Annapurna Circuit ~ Himalaya Range.

This circuit is considered one of the best treks in the world though road construction is threatening its reputation and its future as a classic trek. Yet no one disputes that the scenery is outstanding. This trek takes you through distinct regional scenery of rivers, flora, fauna and above all - mountains.

The fishtail braid I did after I oiled my hair and the first after the cut.

And into another fishtail braid.

Once again for the relaxing braid he did on me.

Wanted the stylist to do a french fishtail braid but she did a dutch fishtail braid instead. She did a great job anyway because it turned out beautiful and stayed nice and tight all night.

It came out kind of unruly because I braided it pretty quickly.

This time though I french braided my hair on the left side and then did a fishtail braid.

So I rolled my hair on the left side and then did a fishtail braid...

Machhapuchhre's Anglicised name is Mt Fishtail. Although it rises to 6,997 metres/22,956 feet, it's regarded as one of the 'lesser' Himalayan peaks. Well, it doesn't look 'lesser' from this perspective!

In these days of great human achievement, it may seem astonishing to consider that no human has ever conquered its summit – which is why, locally, it's been nicknamed the 'virgin peak'.

There's another view of this glorious mountain here. Visiting the Himalayas was undoubtedly one of the great and most memorable experiences of my life.

This is an amazing palm. It's fronds do in fact look like fishtails. But it's the seeds that astound me... heavy clusters of these seeds are hanging from it. Each about 18 inches long and 1 foot around! And they keep on hanging as they turn redder and redder and browner and browner and then fade. I love looking from bottom to top to see each seasons seed clusters and how elegantly they are maturing!

So I tried a french fishtail braid even though it hurts my arm so much attempting it.

I oiled my hair and afterwards my husband braided my hair in a fishtail braid.

View of the Annapurna mountain range seen while returning from Sarangkot (30 mins from Pokhara). Me and wife spent the night in Sarangkot hoping to get the best view of himalayas early in the morning. And yes, did get some "ok" shots but this one, taken from the bike while returning to Pokhara turned out to be a favorite.
