Finally I made a good looking fishtail braid :D I always liked fishtail braids, but I always failed when I tried to make one xD
I hope you like it :D
Fishtail palm tree gets its common name from the ragged-edged, ribbed texture of the dark-green leaflets that grow on upright stems. Its triangular leaflets are unique, and over time naturally split at the ends, just like a fish tail. Caryota mitis, the clustering fishtail palm, is a species of palm native to southeast Asia from India to Java to southern China, now sparingly naturalized in southern Florida and in parts of Africa and Latin America. The species was originally described from Vietnam in 1790. The plant is harvested from the wild for local use as a source of food and materials. Another characteristic of Caryota palms is they have toxic fruits. Most palms around the world are completely non-toxic, but a few have oxylates in the fruits making them a health hazard to pets and children if grown in one’s yard. These oxylates are not only toxic to ingest (not highly toxic, mostly incredibly irritating), but toxic to even touch, making cleaning up their mess after fruiting a trickier business. Larger species produce massive quantities of fruit as well, which can create a huge, gooey mess below the palm during the last year of two of its life.

Machhapuchhare (Fishtail)
This sacred, picturesque mountain rises 6,993m above sea level & is closed to climbers.
Rising nearly 7000m into the clear blue sky above Nepal’s rugged Annapurna mountain range, Machapuchare is arguably the most untouched place on Earth. Believed to be one of the homes of the Hindu god Shiva, its isolated summit sits alone in the sky – unclimbable and untouched. Officially, Machapuchare has never been summited, making its ethereal heights one of the least-visited places on Earth.
Taken from Annapurna Base Camp, Himalaya, Nepal. There seems to be several different spellings for this mountain on the web: Machapuchre, Machapuchare, even Machhapuchchhre! It's an extremely picturesque mountain, but it's still too sacred for people to be allowed to climb it.
SN/NC: Caryota Urens, Arecaceae Family
Caryota speciesare the only palms with bipinnate leaves (meaning they are divided into leaflets that divide a second time). The ultimate leaflets have a characteristic shape, somewhat like the tail of a fish, leading to the popular English name of fishtail palm. The specific epithet urens is Latin for'stinging’ or ‘burning', alluding to the oxalic acid crystals in the fruits, which are skin and membrane irritants. Solitary fishtail palm is used in several ways: the sap is fermented into an alcoholic drink or boiled down to make syrup or sugar, the inner tissue is used as sago (food starch), and the leaves produce strong fibres that are made into ropes, brushes and baskets. This specimen was found in the Oxygen Resort in Paramaribo, Suriname.
Looking along the summit of mount Fishtail towards the highest point. In the distance is the rest of the Richmond Range.
I let my neighbor fishtail my hair for the first time. Not so bad huh?
My creativity is really low so I'm not getting some great photos. Sorry I haven't been on in a long while. School is overwhelming, and so is the rest of life.
Excuse the black hole I call my room.

The impossibly beautiful Machhapuchhre (or Fishtail as it is also known) peak in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. This mountain is sacred and has never been summited, though it stands an impressive 6993m (29,943ft).
We are trekking up Mt. Machhapuchchhre, aka "Mt. Fishtail", named for it's distinctive two-pronged twisted peak which you can see on the left. It's so distinctive I managed to spot it from directly overhead, when flying back home over the Himalayas, amongst 28 other peaks over 6,500m tall.. and many other smaller ones of course!
The peak itself is declared sacred - off-limits to climbers, and never summited.
We trekked to the 4500m "Base Camp" - which is denoted by a rusted sign and a sort-of 'hut' comprising three waist-height brick walls.
It was a gorgeous & peaceful trek, and I can see why this mountain is so beloved by locals. :)

This majestic peak in the Himalayas is called Machapuchare, also known as “Fish Tail Mountain.” At 22,943 feet it’s considerably less tall than Mt. Everest, but this mountain is definitely in illustrious company–legendary peaks such as Annapurna (which actually has three summits) and Manaslu, both in the “8,000-meter club,” are not far away. If you’ve read National Geographic for a couple of years or even been to an IMAX movie you’ve probably heard a lot about those mountains, along with Everest and the others, being climbed frequently. You probably have never heard of anyone who’s climbed Machapuchare, and that’s for a very good reason: no one ever has…at least we think not.
Fish Tail Mountain is a sacred peak in the Hindu religion, associated with the god Shiva. Lord Shiva is supposed to live on the peak, which evidently gets is name from the shape of the summit seen from a certain angle. As one of the last places on Earth where human beings had never set foot, naturally it was a target for Western mountaineers, particularly the British, who had conquered the big Kahuna of no-humans-allowed places–Mt. Everest–in 1953. In fact, it was a member of that expedition, one Wilfrid Noyce, who came the closest anybody ever has to the summit on a 1957 expedition. The king of Nepal had asked Noyce to respect Hindu religious customs and not set foot on the summit. He and his climbing companion, A.D.M. Cox, turned back 150 feet short of the summit.
I watched a tut for Fishtail braids, its one of the few I didnt know how to do yet, I need to learn to do it a bit small and more fishy and be a little neater but DAMN is it awesome on Prism Woot <3

From Tadapani at midnight, above the clouds at 3000 metres in the Annapurna range peaks here at over 7000 metres. I am not usually into landscapes but the Himalayas are the most spectacular sight I have seen, and a late night long exposuy was hard to resist.
The first version of this car came to life in 2013, when I was inspired by Raphy's Rychlost Special and made an amphibious-looking TT using the old 4x7 wheelbase piece. And I thought it was a perfect concept, up until when I decided to give it another visit. This is a more proportional 4-wide with a bucket of funky techniques creating aquatic shapes.
I did cheat here - rear part, including the axle, is not connected to the rest of the body, although that could've easily been avoided if it wasn't for that 1x2 tile with handle behind the cockpit. In the front there are minifg hands mounted in order to imitate some aquatic features. The sides may not look too appealing, but let's just pretend those are gills (in all honesty, that technique was so fitting that I couldn't pass).
Sorry for my poor photography, my camera handles red Lego pieces awfully, and decent lighting was just impossible to set up.
