Intermediate/Advanced volunteer needed ||| *Must be a proven volunteer who has successfully restored at least one challenging Intermediate or Advanced for us before selecting for adoption. This series is MUCH more challenging than a first glance might suggest, and images from this series are routinely turned back in or declined. The muddy textural 'veins' can't simply be blurred away, and will require careful, area-specific, manual repair. Color will also be challenging.
Some exotic variety of yellow discus fish. These were easily my favorite fish out of the aquarium. They were so bright & vivid.
Nick and I spent yesterday afternoon at The Deep in Hull.
It is a bit difficult to get an idea of size of some of these, this was quite a big one (that doesn't help much, does it?!)
Carp is not popular in Ireland, only 10 fresh ones arrived into Killarney. We were really happy when we found them.

Improvised fish hooks using a small safety pin and a inner strand of paracord. The gouge was made out of walnut and a inner strand of paracord.
It has been a while since our last visit, so we went back to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. We found lots fish, but a whole lot more.

I drop the fish into this big net ball that's meant for herb sachets in soup, it keeps from having to strain it more later

The shapes of the steel fish in Fish Globe are based on a variety of trout native to the area. This variety if trout gathers in “schools,” an unusual characteristic for most trout species. There are 600 fish in the giant globe, located near the water pond used for fishing at Tingley Beach.
