the Bermuda chubs and Sargent Majors are never far from me when I snorkel. Perhaps they know that I don't eat fish? ;)
You could call this a trigger fish, but the Hawaiian name is so much more fun to pronounce: humuhumunukunukuapua'a.
i forget the name, but this is some icelandic specialty - fish hung out to dry in the wind until tough and chewy. fish jerky, i guess. iceland, july 2012

Sue bought these at an aquarium auction yesterday. Put them out on the deck rail in the sun for this picture. Fortunately none jumped out of this little plastic container. The blue behind them is the sky.
Sue says the males have the longer elongated tail. So the fish at the bottom right is probably female and the other 2 are males.

Taken at the Seattle Aquarium a few weeks back. It was horribly underexposed and I am afraid that no amount of dicking with the file will bring back the vibrant red of the Clown Fish. Oh well.
