“As a performing magician, I have always been in love with Fire Magic. It creates a beautiful visual spectacle -- sometimes frightening, always wondrous. The art of magic consists of illusion. Fire Magic does not. It is real. It is very dangerous. The only thing that protects me is my own experience and confidence. Twenty years ago I was seriously burned and stopped performing this particular brand of magic. But I was drawn back to it, as if some primordial instinct was rekindled.
Here, the effect is for the magi to cup his hands, and pull a ball of flame from a candle, as if he is able to control this element. The flame is tossed into the air where it very gently sizzles back into the nothingness from whence it came. There is nothing special about the candle. My hands are not coated with any flammable substance (I’m not that brave). The effect is very impromptu and one which I do on the street frequently. I turned up late after my trip to Bristol so missed the fireworks. So here's a few pictures of the bonfire instead!
I haven't bought a new one of these since the first gen Kindle Fire circa 2011 because I've always had an iPad Mini or a Surface or some other device that did mostly the same thing.
Since 2020 has been the year of staying at home, I figured I'd give a new one of these a go as a standalone media device.
I was sitting at home minding my own business when a friend calls and tells me there's a fire in a vacant building on Clinton Street. When I got there, much of the building was involved and there was a healthy gathering of onlookers.

Saw loads of different types of fire vehicles whilst on our recent USA trip. This one was at the famous town of Carmel on Route One which we were going down on our rented Harley.

Our Hotel had to be escaped about10.pm.
At least 500 people was staying here.
We just heard the firealarm, but it was no proper organising...
We picked up words from other it had been electrical problem in the ground floor...
After some hours we could return to our rooms.
Seems to me the Hotel staff should work more on matter of fireescape

Syrens of the South presented two shows the 7th Annual 'Tits for Toys for Tots' at 7 Stages in Little Five Points. These images are from the 11 pm show. More than 300 gifts were donated by patrons for Toys for Tots.

Went for a ride out to Cedar Key with our church motorcycle ministry and of course I had to take my camera with me. These are a few shots from that ride. Unfortunately most are of a house fire which completely destroyed a 58 year old woman's beautiful home and she lost her dog as well. Prayers for healing as she was badly burned and is critical condition in an Ocala hospital.
Fire Station Four is a Fire Station designed by Robert Venturi. It is a great example of Post Modernism. It is built at the 1/200th Scale
