Kirlendik, çocukken oynadığımız oyunlardan sonra olduğu gibi değil, bildiğiniz kirliyiz… Birbirimize çamur atmaktan hoşlanır olduk, çocukça bir oyun olmuyor bu oynadığımız, tüm iğrençliğiyle.
Doğruluk ve dürüstlüğün yerini rekabet alalı çok oldu; yani öleli bayağı bir oldu insanlık. Kendimizi kandırıyoruz modernlik mitiyle. Vahşi bir dünya var bu modernliğin içinde. Hep bir aitlik arıyor bireyler, bir topluluğa, bir partiye, bir takıma; kendine ait olmadan, arayacaklarını içlerinde değil, kalabalıkta bulmaya çalışıyorlar. Samanlıkta iğne aramak gibi, oysa iğne üstünde bir yerde. Bu yüzden, bizden olmayanlar doğuyor, ötekiler doğuyor, benim için başkaları ‘diğer’ oluyor. İnsanlar bu şekilde birbirini öldürüyor rahatlıkla, bu şekilde yönlendiriliyorlar istenildiği şekilde, kullanmasını bilene.
Bütünleşemiyoruz, belki de doğa gereği… Beş parmağın beşi bir değil ne de olsa. Ama birbirimizi de anlayamıyoruz. Çünkü saygı duymuyoruz. Ben, varlığımı, düşüncemi sana borçluyum. Senin bana öğreteceklerin var ve benim de sana… Bunu bilmek ne güzel, bunu bilip de sana saygı duymak o kadar rahatlatıcı. Sen bir taşsın, belki de akan bir su ya da çevremi saran hava; değiştirmez bu sana duyduğum saygıyı. Sende benden birşeyler var, bende de senden. Birlikte çoğalalım, sensiz eksik kalırım çünkü…
Hayat hızla akıp geçiyor. İyi öğrenmeliyim yaşamayı, her tarafından bakabilmeyi, ben olarak anlayabilmeyi… Daha kolay böylece nefes almak. Saygı duyuyorum hayata ve ona ait olan herşeye…
A major fire broke out in Griffith Park this afternoon and is still raging, 8 hours later. The Griffith Observatory, LA Zoo, Autry Museum, and the Hollywood sign are all in the park.
When I got home from work today, I hiked up a hill on a college campus near my home. That was about 6 pm and there were several people watching and taking pictures. At that point no flames were visible, but there was a column of white smoke, and it looked like the fire was going to be under control soon.
Then the sun went down and the wind kicked up and we all watched sadly as we saw more and more flair-ups. This is a chronological series of the fire from about 6pm to about 7:30 pm
Although the Los Angeles Zoo and the Griffith Observatory were spared, it is reported that Dante's View and Amir's Garden are now gone
The man was taking Kerosene(sometimes spelled kerosine in scientific and industrial usage, also known as paraffin) in his mouth and throwing it to the air and lite the fire...

At 5:45 p.m. today, November 13, there was a fire at Coyote and East Mountain Drive. Winds are 20-50 MPH with gusts up to 70 MPH. A State of Emergency was declared by the City of Santa Barbara at 8:15 p.m.

Scrubfire, Titahi Bay, Porirua, 21 Feb 2010. Deliberately lit by youths, it engulfed 20 hectares of scrub within an hour; 75 in total. Up to five helicopters with monsoon buckets and 80 firefighters fought the blaze as it approached nearby houses. We were pleased to be on the safe side of the harbour! I've been meaning to try a fireball shot for a while but never quite got round to it. Well, today I finally did!
I think I was a bit heavy handed with the fuel, so the flame took a while to burn down to a size that would fit in the frame. You live and learn. Once all the fuel had burned off, the ball survived to fight another day.
The ball is held up from behind by a skewer that goes through the black paper background (which is far enough away not to catch light).
The Firefly was a class of broad gauge 2-2-2 steam locomotives used for passenger services on the Great Western Railway. The class was introduced into service between March 1840 and December 1842, and withdrawn between December 1863 and July 1879.
A 63rd member of the Fire Fly class was unveiled to the public in 2005. It is a replica of the original Fire Fly and is kept at Didcot Railway Centre. It can be seen in steam on regular occasions throughout the year; see link below.
Didcot Railway Centre, located in the town of Didcot in the English county of Oxfordshire, is based around the site of a comprehensive 'engine shed' which became redundant after the nationalisation of the UK railways, due to the gradual changeover from steam to diesel motive power.
The Great Western Society was offered the use of the Didcot Motive Power Depot site and took it over in 1967. The society has a comprehensive collection of ex Great Western Railway (GWR) locomotives and rolling stock. There are two short lengths of running track, each with a station at both ends.
