hoping to redo this in the future, with better results.
Remember these Tot Finder stickers from the 70s? I didn't think I needed one because my dad was a fireman and he already knew where my room was. This one was stuck on the back of an old Ryder truck. What a place to keep a kid!
ABOUT ZACUTO'S EVF VIEWFINDER
Zacuto is changing the game again! We are transforming the form factor of DSLR cameras for video use with our Z-Finder EVF. The Z-Finder EVF is a 3.2” high resolution monitor that will be used in conjunction with all the Z-Finder models. The Z-Finder EVF allows you to operate the DSLR camera with the correct form factor for video with the camera "in-line" to your rod system (the most stable way) and your eye in the Z-Finder EVF. This is the way all film cameras and ENG video cameras were operated and we, at Zacuto, believe this should be the way DSLR cameras should be operated. It will enhance the stability, give you better resolution, allow you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be, enable low mode shooting, have your EVF in the back of a dolly or crane, detached from the rig for car shots and more.

Zacuto Z-Finder EVF 3.2” monitor has higher resolution than DSLR LCD screens. These screens have a resolution of 640×480 on a 3:2 aspect ratio screen. Therefore, you only effectively see the resolution at 640×360 in 16×9. The Zacuto Z-Finder EVF monitor resolution is a true 800×480 making the resolution 56% greater than the on-board DSLR camera screens. The Zacuto monitor also has a tighter dot pitch which also improves the quality, making you see a much tighter pixel pattern.
The Z-Finder EVF is currently in prototype stages. It will be available in February 2011 (limited supply) and we are estimating the price to be $775.00. We will be updating customers who are interested along the way with news and videos. Sign up for the reservation list now www.zacuto.com/zfinderevf. We will be taking deposits in December for customers to hold their spot in line; you will be notified via email.
the best find of the weekend.
i found this pair of black and white chucks at a secondhand vintage shop. The shoes are in perfect condition. i have no idea why anyone would have given them up. i only know they have been worn because the bottoms were a little dirty.
and the best part about them was not only were they my size, but they only cost $30.

Path Finder: More than a Finder replacement | 43 Folders
As ever: yes, it's crufty and full of stuff you may not need, and yes your mileage may vary, blah blah blah.
Anyhow, every morning, Path Finder leaves chunks of the current Finder in its stool.
obviously, the same range finder photographed twice. You were supposed to wear it on your finger by using the elastic strap attached to the base
The Canon 5D Mark III with the Zacuto Scorpion and Z-Finder EVF Pro.
The Scorpion rig is the ultimate solution to DSLR shoulder mounted shooting with an EVF. At the center of the Scorpion is our highly adjustable DSLR Baseplate, which allows you to mount any DSLR to the rig and mount your rig onto a tripod. The baseplate attaches to your tripod using the standard tripod plate screws; (2) 1/4” 20 and (1) 3/8” 16. You can also easily quick release your camera from the rig by turning the red knob on the side of the baseplate and pulling up on your camera. This unique feature allows you to quickly switch between using the camera on its own or as part of your rig. Our new curved form-fitting Akton Polymer shoulder pad connects to the back of the baseplate via two 2” M/F rods. The rods screw into the back of the DSLR baseplate and connect to the front of the shoulder pad via 15mm quick release ports, making the switch from shoulder mount to tripod use quick and easy. The Scorpion Shoulder Assembly also features an innovative ball joint built into the front of the shoulder pad. This allows the entire shoulder pad assembly to articulate in multiple directions so shooters can angle it to fit their body for individual comfort. This should be done with one hand while the kit is on your shoulder. The ball joint is released and secured by the red top lever. The Scorpion can be used on your left or right shoulder. The Scorpion shoulder assembly also has a built in top handle for placing and removing it from your shoulder, low mode shooting and easy carrying. The handle can be positioned up or set down into the shoulder pad for storage with the turn of a Zacuto quick release lever. The Scorpion kit is finished off with a 7lb Z-lite counterbalance and Zgrips V3 with 4.5” rods. With the shoulder pad and counterbalance weight coming directly off of the back of the baseplate, the rig is perfectly in-line with the camera and ready to be used with one of our EVFs or an on-board monitor for traditional ENG style shooting. You can mount your EVF or monitor to the side of the rig using the included EVF mount.
