I FINALLY got the chickadee shot I've been trying for!!! It's so darned hard to get their pretty little black eyes to show up because they're set in their black 'cap'.
............... Even so... you have to view this on Large Size to see his eye very well. ...............

After a day out over Buttermere, trying to rediscover my passion for photography (which I feel is now back after a lovely day out alone) I was driving home and seen some colour over Keswick, so obviously the hope was that there was no one on the jetty at Ashness, and luckily, I had it all to myself. After seeing so many great shots from here, and after trying numerous times myself, finally I have a shot from here that I am very happy with.
The longest exposure i've ever done aswell at 240 seconds. I did do a couple longer but they turned out VERY noisy, but will try and work with them at some point.
Canon 450d, Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6, 240 seconds, 10mm, f18, ISO100, Kood ND4 and Hitech ND 0.9 grad.

I've been fortunate to have a female Yellow-bellied Sapsucker staying in our woods this winter, but she is very skittish and I've been unable to get a clean shot of her until today. This was taken from inside my hide which was set up near some feeders during a snow storm.
After four days of inversion with thick fog, the sun came out again. What a joy! PrƩalpes fribourgeoises seen from close to Morges. The mountain to the left is the Moleson.
I've been waiting and waiting for enough good snow to go cross-country skiing and, finally, it's arrived.

It was not sure if the sun will break through the clouds, finally it happened! Wonderful view over lake Bienne into the alps.
Nearly two years living here and this is the first koala Iāve spotted on our neighbouring golf course, which is also a conservation area. The koalas here are tagged and monitored by Currumbin Sanctuary wildlife park. Such a joy to see this one.

I didn't wear a coat to work today for the first time in almost six months. While we are not quite done with the cold, the freezing and the snow of winter has finally started to fade in our memories. Finally!
And a huge thank you and shout of appreciation to you. The support that I receive is so generous and amazing. I passed two million views this morning. It took me 35 months to reach one million. It took me 3 months to reach another. You have everything to do with that and I thank you.
Marvelous Monday to you my friend.
It's been a while to arrive but finally it reached my city where the first fruit trees are starting to bloom. (I believe it's an apricot tree not mine but my neighbor's).
I think I finally got a picture of these trees that Iām happy with.
I see them nearly every time Iām in The Everglades.
I take a picture every time.
The trees are partially obscured by the sawgrass from the road and they always face into or away from the sun. Nightmare.
This weekend was different.
Finally it's winter again! After heavy snowfall the last 24 hours the winter is back here at Upper Franconia! This pano shows a pond north of Bad Steben. The snow was falling heavily, but I liked this scene with the wonderful trees, the pond, the ice and the reflections of the trees.
This pano was stitched from 7 single shots.
