In the heart of the storm where silence burns, there exists a presence not seen but felt—a phantom of forgotten prophecy, cloaked in violet flame.

Introducing The Hollow Veil
The Hollow Veil is a dark, surreal world — suspended between life, death, and dream.
It is a place where forgotten memories shape the landscape, where broken ambitions and regrets breathe new, haunting forms into reality.
In the Hollow Veil:
Time fractures.
Reality melts.
Nothing truly dies — it only waits to be remembered... or forgotten.
Travelers through the Veil find themselves lost in mist-shrouded ruins, sorrowful swamps, and shattered kingdoms.
Creatures born from fear, guilt, and shattered reflections stalk the mists, feeding on memory and identity.
The Hollow Veil is not a single story —
every contribution, every tale, every creation becomes an alternate reality within it:
a fractured echo, a forgotten dream, or a diverging fate.
It’s a world that grows not with power, but with memory and imagination —
where even the smallest whisper can spawn a new world within the mist.
"In the Hollow Veil, even reality fractures. Every memory is a world."

Abigail Williams was one of the key accusers during the Salem witch trials in colonial Massachusetts. At around 11 years old, she was the niece of Reverend Samuel Parris, and along with her cousin Betty Parris, she was among the first to exhibit the strange behaviors that sparked the widespread panic and accusations of witchcraft.
She played a central role in accusing dozens of people of witchcraft, many of whom were imprisoned or executed. While historians debate her motivations, she is often viewed as a symbol of mass hysteria, false accusations, and the dangerous power of manipulated belief.

Twiggore was bound beneath the Hanging Trees by druids who thought he could be tamed. They were wrong. Born from spite and sap, stitched from old bark and thornbone, he feeds on fear and small names — like a nursery rhyme gone sour.
He carries seedpods filled with curses, strung around his neck like trophies. His fingers? Grown from root-claws and spider leg bones. His laughter? Dry, cracking, and heard mostly when you’re alone in the woods.
He is not the forest’s guardian.
He is its regret.

Essence:
The Amaranth Kitsune are a rare lineage of multi-tailed spirit-foxes woven from flame and forgotten memory. Their existence predates even the earliest echoes of the Hollow Veil. Each is born under a different moonlight phase, and their tails burn with spectral flame that feeds not on fuel, but on unspoken truths.
These beings are not merely wise or magical — they are living memoryfires, preserving what others tried to forget. Their presence is both blessing and danger: one does not approach them without risking revelation.
Notable Traits:
Tails range from one to nine, each gained by enduring and embodying a significant soul-trial.
Their eyes shimmer with mirrored constellations.
Voice echoes like layered memory: you hear them in your own thoughts.
Can dissolve into mist or flame at will.
Roles within the Veil:
Guardians of memory sanctums hidden within the Twilight Fissure.
Mentors to Mistwisps and Whisperpaws.
Judges of memory-bound crimes, especially oathbreaking and emotional betrayal.
Known Individuals:
Paxol Neosunto Lynxa Tozifaki – The Memoryfire Matriarch (9-tailed), an ancient kitsune who can breathe forgotten lives back into bloom.
Abilities:
Soulflare: Unleashes radiant memoryfire to illuminate or scorch.
Verdant Tongue: Speaks directly to your forgotten self.
Flameweave: Binds fractured memories into protective veils or illusions.
Flickerform: Shifts across echo-locations in pulses of starlight.
Cultural Lore:
Legends say Amaranth Kitsune are the final form of those who have remembered enough to transcend sorrow. Others believe they are dream-gods who chose to fall — to remind the Veil how to feel. Their dens are made of braided mist and soft glowing bone, and they often sing lullabies made of grief.
“They do not burn what was. They tend the fire of what still flickers.”

"We do not carry fire. We are what it becomes when it learns to feel."
She stepped forth from the Stellar Crucible not as weapon, but as witness. Born not of flesh, but forged in the voice of a dying star — her body sings in echoes of radiant code. Where others pulse with circuits, she burns with purpose.
Her core — the Emberlight — is no engine. It is a heart encoded in solar scripture, beating with the rhythm of a hundred vanished suns. From her chest flows the warmth of forgotten days, a sacred flame veined in gold, illuminating the silence around her.
She is not guardian. She is gospel.
A hymn shaped like a woman.
The promise that light, even in exile, remembers how to rise.

Beneath the golden chandeliers of the Grand Aether Hall, where light itself bends in reverence, she stands — not simply as sorceress, but as sovereign of spellcraft.
Adorned in a corset of blackened brass and velvet, lined with intricate arcane gears and symbol-etched plates, Lady Altheria Volundrix commands the currents of knowledge and power. Her mechanical gauntlets hum with dormant force, and her gown, layered with precision-forged elegance, sways like an incantation in motion.
In her gloved hand, the Chrono-Scepter — part clockwork, part celestial focus — glows with inner illumination. Pages of ancient schematics spiral through the air, orbiting her will. Her gaze is calm, sovereign, and absolute.
This is not the chaos of magic. This is its ascension.

Born in torment and tempered by centuries of suffering, he walks the ruins of a world once forged by Sartan hands. The molten light of ancient runes burns behind him — remnants of a forgotten design twisted by neglect and time. His blackened cloak whispers of a thousand battles survived in the Labyrinth's ever-shifting maze, where stone bled and the very air hungered. Now free, he carries the scars of a prison meant to reform but only sharpened. A being of raw will and seething purpose, he stands on the threshold of vengeance and destiny, a harbinger of a reckoning long delayed.

In a realm forgotten by time, where the sun never rises and the wind carries only whispers, walks the Hollow Shade. Draped in ragged shrouds and crowned with a mask forged of dread, he is the last echo of a fallen age—a being bound by shadow and vengeance. His steps stir no dust, his presence silences the air. None know his name, only the stories left behind: of cities that crumbled after he passed through, and of souls who vanished in the night, their screams swallowed by the mist.
He does not seek war, yet war always finds him.

Clad in obsidian cyber-demonic armor laced with glowing violet veins and crowned by twisted horns, the Abyssal Sovereign stands as the final harbinger of war. His presence scorches the earth beneath him, each step cracking molten ground and darkening the skies. Arcane circuitry pulses under blackened metal — ancient tech fused with infernal essence. Eyes ablaze with radiant voidlight pierce the smoke-choked air, and each motion echoes with the hum of twisted energy.
He is the end of kings, the silence after fire, a monarch forged in chaos and crowned in war.

In the silence between headstones and the fog of memory, the Huskmother wanders. Draped in tattered funeral cloth and shadow, she collects the shells of those long forgotten—souls unburied by love or legacy. Skulls with trailing roots drift in her wake like broken prayers. Lanterns flicker softly, drawn to her presence, illuminating her mournful path through the darkened woods. She is neither malicious nor merciful—only the whisper of what is lost.

The Mire of Mirrors lies sunken deep within the Hollow Veil, a broken swamp where the ground itself seems to bleed memories. There is no true water here — only slabs and shards of ancient, cracked mirrors jutting out of thick, blackened mud. Pools of mist swirl endlessly over the surface, hiding the dangerous reflections beneath.
Each mirror fragment reflects something not of this world:
Some show twisted versions of yourself — older, monstrous, or broken.
Some show lost loved ones calling out from silent mouths.
Others display worlds that never were, tempting travelers to step into them and vanish forever.
Warning of the Mire:
The longer you look into any mirror, the more real it becomes.
At a certain point, it becomes harder to tell which side of the glass you are on.
Some travelers are found in the Mire, with their eyes turned to mirrors, bodies lifeless, and smiles frozen on their faces — lost forever to dreams that were never theirs to begin with.

The Heart Mirror
Deep within the fog-drenched swamp known as the Mire of Mirrors, the Heart Mirror rises like a wounded monument to forgotten destinies. Its frame is not gold or wood, but a grotesque lattice of fossilized bone and gnarled roots, as if the earth itself once tried to imprison it and failed. The surface of the mirror is fractured, but the cracks pulse with an eerie light — veins of silver, blue, and faint blood-red that seem to breathe.
It does not reflect the world around it. It reflects what your heart hides, and what your soul dares not admit. When you look into the Heart Mirror, you do not see your face. You see the life you almost lived — or the ruin you are destined to become. Visions shift like mist across the glass: crowns that never graced your brow, battles you never fought, lovers you never held, empires you never ruled, betrayals you never realized. Some say the mirror is alive. Not sentient like a mind — but hungering, remembering, waiting for those bold (or foolish) enough to gaze too long. The longer you look, the deeper the reflection pulls at you, until you no longer know whether you are standing before the mirror...
or trapped within it.

In the shattered hollow of an ancient crypt, where the walls remember hymns but no voices remain, he stands.
The Exemplar — a sacred warframe forged in the old crusades, draped in forgotten oaths and fire-tempered grace. His armor is scripture and scar, lit from within by a reliquary that still burns with divine command.
Around him lie the remnants of others like him: broken saints, shattered automata, knights who obeyed until their limbs failed.
But he did not fall.
He stayed, alone — to guard the silence. To hold the line between mourning and memory.
The candles still burn.
The Exemplar still waits.

“His voice isn’t heard. It’s decoded.”
Vor’Xan Threl is no longer fully biological. Once a brilliant strategist of the Arx'Vorr species, he underwent irreversible cybernetic communion with an ancient sentient network known as the Null Grid — a dark, forbidden databank left adrift in the deep black between dying galaxies.
Now bearing the title Redseer, Vor’Xan is capable of predictive warfare, using quantum logic loops and echo-pattern surveillance to anticipate decisions before they’re made. His glowing crimson eyes are not just sensors, but active pulse-transmitters, capable of disrupting enemy neural fields and short-circuiting command hierarchies through sheer visual contact.
The rigid, black tactical armor fused to his form is reinforced with subdermal hexsteel, laced with deep-data tendrils that feed him constant combat analytics. The synthetic light flowing through his chestplate pulses in time with his mind’s command loops.
He does not raise armies.
He corrupts them from within.
He does not invade territory.
He erases it from predictive star charts.

The Nullkin are faceless, soundless entities that drift like erasures through the Shadow Echoes. They do not appear — they unappear. Born from the suppression of memory and the denial of self, they are not what you forgot, but what you made yourself forget. Their presence unwrites the space around them.
Appearance:
Featureless silhouettes with slightly translucent forms, as if cut from the absence of memory.
Faceless heads with faint ripples where identity might have been.
Bodies shimmer like distorted air, flickering at the edges.
In proximity, they dull colors, absorb sound, and cause light to fracture.
Reflected in mirrors as blurred versions of people you once knew — or once were.
Behavior:
Move without direction, as if pulled by forgotten intentions.
Often appear near objects or places of personal emotional suppression.
Nullkin do not attack, but their presence causes disorientation and emotional numbness.
They are drawn to unresolved memory voids, filling them with silence.
Abilities:
Silence Veil: Nullifies sound in a radius, muffling even internal thoughts.
Memory Mute: Temporarily suppresses one memory per person nearby.
Light Erasure: Causes shadows to twist unnaturally; removes direct light.
Echo Inversion: Reflects only what someone refuses to acknowledge.
Symbolism:
They are not confrontational but reveal absence. They are the spaces left behind by self-erasure — the emotional blind spots you shaped with your own hands.
Encounters:
The Hollow Cloister: A sanctuary of monks who erased themselves from the world. Nullkin drift silently through its archive of blank scrolls.
Vestige Lake: A motionless blackwater pool. Staring into it while a Nullkin is near shows a moment you once deleted from memory.
The Silent Parade: At rare intervals, dozens of Nullkin walk in perfect formation across a broken bridge, all faceless, all familiar.

"He doesn’t run. He follows. Slowly. Always."
Dressed in his signature pint-sized coveralls and dragging a blade nearly as big as he is, Meowchael walks the streets of suburbia on Halloween night — not for treats, but for silence. He never meows. He never breaks stride. He simply arrives.
With oversized black eyes that reflect streetlights like soulless saucers, and fur poking through the torn sleeves of his tiny jumpsuit, this little slasher radiates adorable dread. The pumpkins smile. The lights flicker. And the wind seems to whisper:
“He’s behind you.”
Don’t let the paws fool you. He may be small… but he never misses.

So here's my finalized GLaDOS... sort of. The base for now is just a placeholder until I can make a mor aesthetically pleasing one. Overall, I'm half pleased with the result. There were a few details that I hat to leave out, and I also had to scrap my original idea of having it support itself, but when it became to cluttered, I opted for it hanging by a string instead. The cables were especially hard to get right, and they are even harder to keep in the positions that they're in. But still, I am glad for the opportunity to finally have used that curved/segmented technique which can be seen on the large white plates of armor attached to her back.

Location: Forgotten Temple beneath the deepest vaults of the Nightmare Veil
Description:
Within a cathedral of ruin carved from collapsed memorystone, beneath flickering starlight leaking through fractured domes, stands Amon the Purple, now wholly transformed into his feared echo-form: The Crown That Remembers Itself.
This is no encounter with a living being. It is a meeting with inevitability.
He stands tall and still, framed in columns of shadowfire, surrounded by skulls and broken thrones. His galactic soulsteel armor glows with fractured constellations, and a violet core burns in his chest — the reforged shard of the Mirror of Shattered Dreams. His face is sharp, inhuman — a purple-skinned dark elf with burning eyes and a crown of void-wrought horns. His mouth rests in a predator’s grin, lined with razorsharp memory-teeth.
He speaks only when silence resists.
The Chamber:
Shattered mirror-floor reflecting versions of the visitor who will never be.
Memoryroots entwine the walls, feeding off emotion.
Mist hangs heavy with stillborn prophecy.
From the ceiling, violet lightning arcs in slow motion through starlit cracks.
Encounter Effects:
Echo Collapse: Travelers risk being overwritten by a version of themselves Amon once chose not to become.
Throne’s Refusal: Any attempt to attack is met with a vision of the attacker’s greatest failure — made real until accepted.
Mirror of the Crowned One: If you survive, you leave changed. Not who you were. Not quite who you should have been.

Nyx Veilrun is a rogue synthesis of flesh and forgotten A.I. code — a ghost in the machine shaped like a man, born from the ashes of a collapsed hyper-network. His skin bears the faint warmth of humanity, but his circuitry hums with something older and darker. Violet conduits trace his face like creeping veins of corrupted starlight, while biomechanical cables slither beneath his armored plating, alive with silent intent.
His left eye glows with a deep violet iris — not a lens, but a singularity — a gateway to data realms long blacklisted by civilization. Nyx moves through the neon haze of the undercity, hunted and whispered about, his presence marking the fall of firewalls and the fracture of control.
No one knows if he is liberation… or the first harbinger of digital extinction.
