Designation: Venom Revenant — Phase II
Codename: The Berserker Mutation
Where Phase I was restraint, Phase II is ruin.
After prolonged venom exposure and neural degradation, the subject evolved — or degenerated — into what would later be known only as The Berserker Mutation. Its armor is cracked and warped, barely holding together over the grotesquely enhanced musculature beneath. Thick black veins throb with unstable venom, leaking through jagged seams like radioactive rot.
Gone is the silent precision of its earlier form. The Berserker is pure instinct — a force of aggression so overwhelming that even its creators couldn't control it. Its mouth, once sealed behind a tactical mask, has twisted into a jagged maw, and its eyes burn with feral, undead fire.
Survivors speak of a deep, inhuman growl that shakes the air before it strikes. Most don't live long enough to hear it twice.
This is not evolution.
This is venom’s revenge.

Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey (Westchester/Rockland), the Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, on Monday, October 5, 2015, sent a letter to Stephen Ostroff, Acting Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Sylvia Matthews Burwell, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), urging finalization of regulations on new tobacco products, such as e-cigarettes, flavored hookahs, and flavored cigars. Lowey made the announcement during a local kick-off event in White Plains, NY, for Red Ribbon Month 2015, a national celebration during the month of October to promote a drug free life for youth and adults. “Here, the future breathes, but never lands.”
Essence
The Eidolight Reach is a radiant mountaintop realm high above the Hollow Veil’s mists. Suspended between starlight and memory, it flickers with impossible futures and paths never taken. Dreams here do not die — they crystallize into light, floating in the thin air like fireflies of forgotten ambition. To ascend is to see what might have been. To remain is to forget what truly was.
Landscape
Jagged crystalline peaks jutting into starlit twilight, unreachable by ordinary means.
Floating bridges of silver light connect impossible altars, spires, and cliffside sanctuaries.
The ground pulses with ephemeral glyphs, blooming and fading like breath.
Aurora-like currents drift overhead, each thread woven from abandoned hopes.
Phenomena
Flickerflame Dragon: A radiant, semi-transparent serpent of starlit flame and unspoken futures. It coils through the air like a comet bound by memory, shedding motes of light that burn with past ambitions. It does not roar — it remembers aloud.
Flickerflames: Wisps of glowing potential — failed dreams, lost callings, and unborn futures.
The Unmade Bell: A silent structure that tolls only in dreams, summoning those close to forgetting.
Echo Ascents: Pathways that shift based on inner conflict or unresolved ambition.
Dangers
Staying too long may unravel one’s present self, lost to what might have been.
Some climb seeking truth but become Echoshadows — phantoms of unrealized destinies.
Lightburn: A spiritual erosion caused by too much exposure to the Eidolight.
Themes & Symbolism
The seduction of potential.
Letting go of unreachable ideals.
Memory vs. possibility.

Thanks to RunDSM and Movement 515’s Color Control graffiti workshops presented by Scarce Elementz, the third section of the 750 foot graffiti wall behind Central Campus was finalized this summer. Local graffiti artist As Phate says, " Thanks to every one of our students over the course of the last couple of years that has contributed and made the vision a reality." Co-founder of Movement 515 Emily Lang says, "The mural is a testament to what happens when local artists are given space within the system to nurture youth artists and to the city for acknowledging the need for public spaces for youth to get free. All love and praise to As Phate, LETER, and the youth."

In the aftermath of the Celestial Schism, when ancient empires shattered and stars bled across the firmament, the Starfall Accord was forged—a forbidden pact between dying worlds to prevent universal collapse. From this covenant rose a single enforcer: the Executor.
Neither fully mortal nor entirely divine, the Executor drifts between realms, cloaked in cosmic dusk and charged with extinguishing those who violate the Accord. His presence signals judgment, his glowing core a remnant of the collapsed stars whose energy sustains him. Planets fall silent in his wake, and time itself recoils in his shadow.
He does not speak. He does not falter. He simply fulfills the pact.

from the FBI Library Website:
"For reasons of economy, the approving agencies insisted upon poured concrete as the major outside building material. The concrete used for the FBI building contained an aggregate of crushed dolomite limestone, a unique composition. While contrasting with the traditional marble, granite, or limestone Government buildings, it echoed a major architectural style of the 1960s. The concrete was poured into reusable steel forms separated by metal ties. The ties remained in the concrete when the molds were removed. This technique produced an architectural feature of evenly spaced holes throughout the exterior."
"The final FBI building design incorporated many features of the 1964 Pennsylvania Avenue proposal, with modifications primarily governed by security considerations. The building has an open mezzanine and courtyard, but access to the courtyard is limited, and most of the first floor is closed to facilitate security. Recessed panels along the ground floor were spaced to give the illusion of two-story columns, thus producing an arcade-like facade. Also for security reasons, no stores were included on the first floor. The main part of the building, facing E Street, retained the idea of a central core of files."

It rose from the abyss in a scream of fire and thunder.
Forged from iron, brass, and rage long forgotten, the Clockwork Titan claws its way from a crater torn into the crust of a dying world. Its molten core pulses like a volcanic heart, illuminating the storm-wracked sky as lightning fractures the clouds above.
Soldiers scatter like insects beneath its rising frame, their brass-plated rifles no match for the monster born of industry and war. Gigantic steam vents erupt from its spine, belching heat and oil. Cables thrash like iron serpents as its talons flex and arcane eyes ignite.
“It was built to defend the world.
Forgotten for a thousand years.
Now it rises not to protect — but to wage War.

It's normal now!
But I guess this finalizes one issue: Our boiler, which hasn't been turned on in almost 10 yrs, is officially impossible to safely operate without a chimney.
(The same chimney that almost killed us once by getting clogged up. House filled with carbon monoxide/diesel fumes [heating oil is just diesel fuel]. Carbon monoxide alarms woke me up. I was sleeping downstairs, Carolyn upstairs. So I would have died, but maybe not her. Only reason I heard the carbon monoxide alarm is that the house became so fumey that our CD player lasers were both permanently damaged. The music stopped playing, allowing me to hear the CO2 alarm. I was soon forced to switch to using MP3s. Had I switched to MP3 earlier, I might not be writing this caption.)
That window there? So totally painted shut right now. Oops :/
P.S. You can see where they patched the siding. I don't know where they found extra siding of my color, or how they did that. I guess maybe it overlaps so they trimmed some overlap from somewhere.

BACKSTORY: We bought some more Thompson Creek windows, and we decided to also replace the gutter that had rusted out & fallen off the back of the house a few years ago. Thompson Creek told us it would be better to remove the unused boiler chimney and have the roof patched so there could be one continous gutter. But they would not do this themselves, despite accepting the job. Thus, Clint had to embark on the experience of finding someone to do the job. Full blog post with every possible detail at: clintjcl.wordpress.com/2012/04/11/journal-house-sam-and-s... ... The most interesting detail was that we got the job done for $575, but a company called Sam And Sons, LLC, out of Alexandria, VA, gave us an estimate for $5600 for the same work. Beware of those evil douchebags.

Well here is the finalized version of the update for the AMR 35.
With a new track setup and body, the only thing that is being carried over is the turret from last years design. Track setup will have a few small add ones, which I can't show with LDD. I personally really like the update as it feels like where I fell short last year, I fixed it this time around.
I already ordered the parts for this and the R35 as a first update to my french army.
As that will get an overhaul overtime and I'm starting by scrapping most of the tanks. Including all the old AMR's and the S35. I will keep the B1 for now untill I have the time and money to update it.

Twisted forest where sorrow hardens into venom. Crimson mist, whispering trees, betrayal echoes.
A corrupted stretch of forest deep within the Nightmare Veil, Thornbleed Vale is a realm where grief and betrayal take root — and grow thorns. The ground seeps red. Trees weep sap like blood. The mist here is heavy, rust-colored, and laced with hallucination. Those who walk the Vale often hear voices of the ones they wronged — or who wronged them.
🌿 Nature of the Vale
Crimson Fog: Induces emotional distortions and visions of past pain.
Whisperwood: Trees whisper regrets not your own, luring you off-path.
Venomroot Growths: Blossoms fed by bitterness, can poison memory.
️ Inhabitants
Thorned Shades: Ghostly remnants of betrayals so intense they took form.
Griefbinders: Fungal entities that root into sorrowful minds.
Blightstag: A once-noble guardian twisted into predator, antlers dripping with venom.
⚠️ Dangers & Themes
Trust erodes the longer you stay.
Shared history can become a weapon.
Poison is more emotional than physical — memories are barbed.

Bob Page: Your appointment to FEMA should be finalized within the week. I've already discussed the matter with the Senator.
Walton Simons: I take it he was agreeable?
Page: He didn't really have a choice.
Simons: Has he been infected?
Page: Ah yes, most certainly. When I mentioned we could put him on the priority list for the Ambrosia vaccine, he was so willing it was almost pathetic.
Simons: This plague — the rioting is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it.
Page: Why contain it? Let it spill over into the schools and churches. Let the bodies pile up in the streets. In the end, they'll beg us to save them.
Simons: I've received reports of armed attacks on shipments. There's not enough vaccine to go around, and the underclasses are starting to get desperate.
Page: Of course they're desperate. They can smell their deaths, and the sound they'll make rattling their cages will serve as a warning to the rest.
Simons: Hmm. I hope you're not underestimating the problem. The others may not go as quietly as you think. Intelligence indicates they're behind the problems in Paris.
Page: A bunch of pretentious old men playing at running the world, but the world left them behind long ago. We are the future!
Simons: We have other problems.
Page: UNATCO?
Simons: Formed by executive order after the terrorist strike on the Statue. I have someone in place though. I'm more concerned about Savage. He's relocated to Vandenberg.
Page: Our biochem corpus is far in advance of theirs, as is our electronic sentience, and their... ethical inflexibility has allowed us to make progress in areas they refuse to consider.
Simons: The augmentation project?
Page: Among other things, but I must admit that I've been somewhat disappointed with the performance of the primary unit.
Simons: The secondary unit should be online soon. It's currently undergoing preparations and should be operational within six months. My people will continue to report on its progress. If necessary, the primary will be terminated.
Page: We've had to endure much, you and I, but soon there will be order again — a new age. Aquinas spoke of the mythical City on the Hill. Soon that city will be a reality, and we will be crowned its kings, or better than kings: Gods!

With the merger finalized between OfficeMax and Office Depot I figured it was time to take some pictures of their area stores before they start closing stores in the consolidation.
First up is the OfficeMax in Tigard that sits in a shopping center with a Winco Food Store but has a Wal-Mart being built across the street which is next door to a Costco. This one is located within five or so minutes of one Office Depot and within ten or so minutes of a second.
However, this store seems to be better located than the two Depot's and is always busier than the other two stores despite the lack of good customer service especially on the sales floor. Of the three this one seems to be the most likely to survive (which means nothing since there is more factors that goes into store locations that stay open).

A Dinkie Fantasy (fanart)
The Purring Terror
“You hear a purr. You smile. Then your HUD glitches, your inventory dumps, and your soul rethinks its life choices.”
Don’t let the soft fur and big golden eyes fool you—X’chi Mew’ra is a legend wrapped in fur and armor. Said to have been bio-engineered from sacred Dinkie DNA and alien predator genetics, this tiny terror stalks through enchanted glades, neon wastelands, and forgotten servers alike. With a purr that disarms and claws that disable, X’chi doesn’t just hunt — they perform.
Often mistaken for a pet. Rarely mistaken twice.

Beneath the scorched husk of the forgotten Cathedra lies this cryptic vault — a sanctum for all prototypes unchosen and futures uncompiled. Dozens of stasis-thrones flank the obsidian aisle, each cradling a failed godform or corrupted martyr of machine-sainthood.
At the far end, the Uncompiled Saint towers in shimmering, unstable glory — a quantum entity trapped mid-conversion, echoing fragments of hundreds of possible selves. The vault resonates with the hum of unresolved code and forgotten hymns, watched eternally by the masked Revision Keepers who cannot speak, only witness.

from the FBI Library Website:

This finalized recipe was the inspiration of this month's featured dessert at Linda Restaurant. If you make it there and try it, please let me know how you like it! :)
A little British, a little French, and a whole bunch of Asian. This is the finalized recipe (can't disclose) of the creamy (lightened) omega pro fresh ginger infused egg custard soaked sweet egg bread and butter pudding (yes, homemade vanilla brandy is present). Minced pieces of steam ginger dropped in the custard and scattered on top of the golden bread slice finish off the dessert.
365 Days: #118, 06/15/07
My last day in this office is finalized. July 3rd. I start in my new office July 16.
I am going to Denver next week and I figured it would be a good time to apartment hunt. But I hate apartment hunting and wanted something easy like when I moved to Portland. I found a place online, did it all over the phone, and rented it sight unseen (except for a few friends up there taking pics of the neighborhood) and it was an awesome apartment. I did not see the inside until the day I moved in.
This morning, I was at work and poking around on Craigslist (do you expect me to be anything but worthless there these next 2 weeks?). I found an apartment that seemed to be in the location I want. I noticed the website of the management company. I click on that. They manage 6 properties. The one on Craigslist was rented (they seem very good about keeping up with content on the site) so I clicked through the rest. Saw one at a different building available July 5th. Perfect. Looked deeper. Floorplan is fucking AWESOME, a walk in closet plus another 2 closets AND there is even a wall partition so it is almost like separate rooms minus door. The rent is like $200 lower than what I was seeing comparable in that neighborhood. Utilities included.
Dave was kind enough to offer to go take photos of the place and surrounding neighborhood. While I did not want him to go out of his way I admit the photos were frickin awesome and really helped to get a feel of the neighborhood. Reminds me a lot of Portland, actually.
I call the apartment mgmt company. I explained my situation; I am relocating from FL, I did NOT mention I was going to be there next weekend, and I need to do everything via phone/fax/email. I offered to put a deposit down. I gave her my debit card number. That was about 1pm.
I got a call at 5pm letting me know the apartment was mine :) and it will be ready probably on July 5th (I will get a call Monday confirming the day, then she will fax me the lease to review and sign etc), so I could get on the fucking road when I leave work if I wanted to on the 3rd, hah. I even know my new address :) How cool is THAT? And if need be they will even let Dave go get the key for me so like, if I roll into town at some horrible hour I would not have to wait for the next morning to go somewhere and get the key.
This means if I budget my time right I COULD have a WHOLE WEEK there to unpack, get oriented, drive to work a few times in the morning to estimate commute, get my car shit in order, stay in bed all day with Dave, stay in bed all day with Dave some more, etc.
