I can't even tell you how many of these things have failed recently. I
will buy you no more. Once you were the king of NLE drives, not so

An essential part of professional video production is using the the technique of zooming, rotating, and panning across still images to give life. Learn how to use the concept of keyframing to animate ordinary images and transform your style of storytelling. Anyone interested in Documentary, educational programming, and slideshows will especially want to take this class. Along with Final Cut Pro, we will be integrating other software like Adobe Photoshop and Apple Motion to prepare and add effects to images.

This is a public service announcement I did for my TRF 255 class at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. The premise behind the spot is to explain the affects of watching too much television and the correlation between watching too much TV and the obesity rates among teenagers in the U.S.
This was shot in a day in my friend's basement with a Canon 5D Mk II and a 50mm 1.4 lens. There was one light used that was reflected from an umbrella. It was originally shot in high definition and then edited in Final Cut Pro and After Effects in standard definition to save time.
I was cleaning out my hard disks when i realized that i have tons of HD videos of Sri Lankan wildlife, more than enough to do my own documentry. so i thought, why not?
while i wait for my new imac complete with finalcutpro and magic bullet, i created a teaser trailer to get myself going :)
all clips are filmed by me with a Canon 7D, and are straight from the camera (im sure its obvious to you :)

Progetto Arcevia 2.0/12
In 1972, Italo Bartoletti initiated Progetto Arcevia, a vision of an existential community which simultaneously enriched the local community of Palazzo dโArcevia (Italy) while at the same time providing a site for creatives โ artists, philosophers, architects โ to come together and collaborate.
40 years later, Bartolettiโs vision has been embraced by a group of young London-based designers, Unit +. In September 2012, five members of Unit + journeyed to Riserva Privata San Settimio, the very site that Bartoletti first cultivated for Progetto Arcevia, and which is still owned by his family today. Using experiential and live mapping techniques across a range of different media (conceptual documentaries, sketches, models and a fairy tale inspired comic book), Unit + explored, documented and analysed their impressions of the site.
Through their dynamic engagement with all aspects of the Riserva, they experimented with colour-coded navigation systems, a proposal for a โfloatingโ meditation room and a towering sundial. Through the support and enthusiasm of Bartolettiโs family and the Riserva, Unit + will return in Spring 2013 to initiate these projects.
Crucial to Progetto Arcevia 2.0/12 is the fact that the fundamental ideals remain the same; Unit + are committed to operating as โa thought factory and creativity labโ, a team that values collaboration and cooperation. Their work at the Riserva in 2013 represents not only a continuation of one manโs vision, but the revitalisation of concepts that are intrinsic to collaborative design.

my first foray into image sequence-esque videos, this was shot at monrovia skate park in monrovia, CA with a couple friends who wanted to do a little skate shoot. it's actually 1322 still images intended to be presented as stills, but this video is for a behind the scenes look at the torrential amounts of images from just a small shoot like this. 45 out of 1322 still images were post-processed and finalized through Apple Aperture and Adobe Photoshop CS5. this is my first upload and i'm pretty new to vimeo so comments and feedback are much appreciated!
