So, I decided to emulate an image by a photographer who was in this group in a previous year. Not as easy as it looks. I ended up just going for a simple image, otherwise I would never have made it to Ken's fab presentation at Storrington Camera Club!

Flickr Lounge: fill the frame
This eastern tiger swallowtail on pickerelweed wasn't quite close enough to me for a good zoom of this closeness, but because of the FL challenge, I chose to zoom and see what I could get, anyway. Though it takes the wings out of focus and is overall not sharp, it's a decent look at the flowers and the butterfly's body and feet.
AAW: Fill the Frame
I'm not sure if this fits the rules because it's cropped square. I just could not get high enough over this fire hydrant to get a shot that didn't have my foot in it, so I centered the hydrant and cropped off the sides.

for 7DoS: busy day but fortunately the sun came out later this afternoon, so I could grab a shot of the phlox in my garden :)
