So, I decided to emulate an image by a photographer who was in this group in a previous year. Not as easy as it looks. I ended up just going for a simple image, otherwise I would never have made it to Ken's fab presentation at Storrington Camera Club!

I will post a link to the inspiration below.

Treasure Hunt 30 Fill the Frame with Red

I will replace if I manage to do better ;-)

ANSH challenge 2/4

If I'm going to fill the frame then purple is a good choice of colour.

This eastern tiger swallowtail on pickerelweed wasn't quite close enough to me for a good zoom of this closeness, but because of the FL challenge, I chose to zoom and see what I could get, anyway. Though it takes the wings out of focus and is overall not sharp, it's a decent look at the flowers and the butterfly's body and feet.

AAW: Fill the Frame

I'm not sure if this fits the rules because it's cropped square. I just could not get high enough over this fire hydrant to get a shot that didn't have my foot in it, so I centered the hydrant and cropped off the sides.

for 7DoS: busy day but fortunately the sun came out later this afternoon, so I could grab a shot of the phlox in my garden :)

A colour version of the previous monochrome. I prefer the monochrome.

I've been messing around with a 30 year old bounce flash on my 50d lately, and I've gotten some cool results. The only problems is that it is old enough that it doesn't register on my newer camera of the density of the flash, so it just does a full flash every time. I can work around with this though, so it works as nice side lighting. I recently spent a weekend up at Applefest in Franklin, so hopefully I'll have time over the next couple of days to upload those.

If you would like prints I sell through a website here. Thanks!
