The vineyards around here are places I love in all seasons but never more than in autumn. This is a photo I took because the fiery colours looked quite spectacular in the morning sun and also because from that angle the vineyard looked like some sort of mysterious maze.

What I believe is a red Daylily from our garden at Mill Pond. Flower IDs are far from my realm of expertise so please correct me if I am wrong. It rained all morning and I was able to get out shortly after the rain stopped. I just like how the center looks so fiery hot.

A mild looking skipper when viewing the underwings, but the upper wings are much bolder.
