Fiery red sunrise this morning worth getting up early for.Just the birds and l at the beach

Greetings from Costa Rica! The first day of our trip was terrific, including great views of these fast-moving hummers at Paraiso Quetzal Lodge in the Talamanca Mountains.

The colours of a fiery sunrise at 6.08am at Cronulla Beach, Sydney.

It's just beautiful to walk along the beach and watch the amazing sunrise and sky colours!

The silhouette of Catalina is masked by the bright sunset. The boat helped give perspective on the large rugged landscape shadowed by the light.

I was in the vineyards again on Sunday. The weather was lovely and I even found some areas whith beautiful autumn colours , like the one you see in this photo. It was quite warm too and I had a lovely time. Sadly the colours in the vinyards have already reached their peak and will fade quickly now.

With the others evenings Sunset I also got this view of a Ring of Mist on Fire from the Sunset.

Rot gilt als Warnfarbe, erinnert an unser Blut und nicht zuletzt als Farbe der Liebe :)

Red is considered a warning color, reminiscent of our blood and not least as the color of love :)

Fiery Frame Filler - This particular Allen's Hummingbird was very comfortable and perched very close nearby. I just cropped this image off the edges and thought the details + unique perch made an interesting scene.

The tree in my yard is so bright this year after all the other trees in the surrounding woods have lost their leaves. It's a fine last Hurrah! for Autumn.

Thanks for taking a look!

I can say with certainty, male and female. They mated a second later, as they turned away from this nice flat profile. On a Lantana bloom.

I love early autumn mornings when the sun basks the landscape in a lovely warm light and the vineyards look even more colourful than usual. This was one of those rare sunny autumn mornings and quite a contrast to the foggy weather we have now.

Captured at: Bayard Cutting Arboretum's William Wolkoff Dahlia Garden in Great River, NY.

Pictured here is a little dahlia that was chock full of personality... It stood proudly in its space in the garden and managed to silently scream for every visitor's attention. This little bloom flashed some bold red and yellow hues, and appeared to be like a tiny sun shining amidst its peers.

This dahlia, along with many others, were on display at this year's edition of the Bayard Cutting Arboretum dahlia garden. This is one of Bayard's signature events, and runs annually from early September to late October (or when the first frost of the season arrives).

Bayard's garden offers dahlias in all different shapes, colors, and sizes and is home to over 1,300 dahlias with 300 varieties. These flowers can be as large as “dinner-plates” or small as tiny balls with many sizes in-between.
