A collage of several photos taken at the Charles Gabus Tree Memorial Park in Urbandale, Iowa last night. There are more than 50,000 lights located at this public Christmas light display. Tucked amongst the trees, it’s a little hard to photograph some of the scenes and displays, but this collage shows a few. Zoom-in and view large for the details.
Developed with Darktable 4.8.0.
EXIF Note: The displayed EXIF data is from the photo in the bottom right corner. I was in aperture priority mode (AV), so the only difference was the exposure times. From the bottom right corner going clock-wise, the exposure times were 1/160, 1/640, 1/200, 1/800.
From one eternal spark, all souls took their form,
Bound by the same light, yet scattered by the storm
Yet, through the season’s shining glow, we reunite,
Spreading joy and love with every sparkling light!

Als de buren hun veelkleurige lichtslingers ophangen komen we langzaam in de december feeststemming.
When the neighbors hang up their multi-colored fairy lights, we slowly get into the December festive mood.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
Having got the tree home slowly and safely (see first comment box), Brian Junior has been thrilled getting it decorated and seeing the lights turned on.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Tradition'.
I used one of my smallest Brians for this theme, the shell was just under 1 cm long, making the whole image less than 7 cm.
All my Brians send their best festive greetings to all their Flickr fans. Happy Holidays everyone!
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph. The red light wasn't hot, just slightly warm but at no time was the snail allowed to come into contact with the light.
My attempt at the "Looking Close... on Friday" theme "Festive Lighting".

Looking Close... on Friday: Festive Lighting
The lights at Hazelbrook Rural Fire Station are not nearly as good as they used to be so David decided to add to them. “Happy Birthday Jesus”. With Daylight Saving & Grandchildren who need to go to bed it’s hard to wait til the lights really 'shine'!
For Looking Close…on Friday theme of Festive Lighting, a closeup of a section of our Christmas tree. 🎄

Christmas is done and over but the lights continue on until the new year. A close up of a red warm glow, Festive Lighting in Broken Arrow.
Our home decorated for Christmas this year. Warm white lights outlining the peaks and rooflines, photographed on a clear winter night. The deep blue sky and the glow from the house made for a great set of seasonal images. A simple, classic look that fits the style of the home. Full look at the front entrance and main peaks. The porch, steps, and roofline all glow evenly, giving the house a bright, classic Christmas presence.

So here we are in Regent Street, London, and the largest Christmas lights display in the UK. Regent Street actually started the tradition of public Christmas lights in London, way back in 1954.
These angels, known as ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, are based on Regent Street’s first display 67 years ago, and today feature some 300,000 LED lights. Created by James Glancy Design Ltd in partnership with The Crown Estate, the 16 individual spirits, each with a 17-metre wingspan, are three-dimensional sculptures lit from beneath by spotlights, and are studded with lights in varying shades of white, which twinkle in harmony to create a co-ordinated ripple effect along the street. Pure magic!
