It's early on a Sunday moring in Memphis and FedEx N156FE is the first of a long line of 767 freighters lined up on the company ramp.
In the Summer of 2003, FedEx 727 N201FE is parked on the company ramp at Memphis International. The first of 15 freighter 727 built for FedEx in the 1980’s.

Originally delivered to Garuda Indonesia in December 1992 as PK-GAS is FedEx A300 N745FD landing on Runway 27 at Memphis International. The Airbus also flew for Qatar as A7-ABO before being converted to a freighter.
Arriving from Charleston, South Carolina, FedEx 757 N954FD lands on Runway 27 at Memphis International. This Boeing narrow-body originally flew for British Airways.

A former Swiss MD-11 (HB-IWA), FedEx N624FE is bound for Newark, New Jersey from Memphis, Tennessee.
Rolling onto the FedEx ramp at Memphis is MD-10-10F N562FE. This airframe was first delivered to American Airlines as N162AA in 1978. It was retired to Victorville, California, in June 2021.

The aircraft was built in 1992 and was delivered as PK-GAR to Garuda Indonesia on 1-12-1992.
Later delivered as VH-PWD to Ansett Worldwide on 24-10-1996.
Qatar Airways were next to operate the aircraft as A7-ABN - they took delivery on 26-3-1997.
Fedex took delivery as N744FD on 30-4-2008 and it was converted into a freighter during October 2008.

On the FedEx ramp at Memphis in August 2013 is 757 N941FD. This airframe first flew for America West as N907AW in 1987. In 2023 the jet was retired to Victorville, California.
The end of an era with FedEx as the 727 aircraft is retired from the fleet. N204FE, N257FE, N213FE & N481FE are parked on the South Cargo ramp at Memphis International awaiting their fate.

Manufactured in 1980, this airframe was originally built for Lauda Air, but NTU. Finally entered service with Federal Express in 1984.
