Here it is outside of FedEx Hangar 12 for a pre-service check before flying to get fresh paint. It only flew in the purple for three years before being stored at Victorville in 2009.

Federal Express (FedEx) Boeing 767-3S2F(ER) N296FE comes hovers over runway 25L at Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport as FedEx 352 from the FedEx world Gateway at Memhis International.
Seen just after arrival at Phoenix, AZ on March 6, 2014. Long history of operators on this 1991-delivered plane. Originally with Air 2000 as G-OOOU. Went on to work for Kiwi Travel Airlines (same reg); Air Atlanta Icelandic (TF-ARI); Excel Airways (same reg as well as G-VKNA); XL Airways (G-VKNA); Aladia Airlines (XA-MTY); registered as N240MQ while in possession of Wells Fargo Bank. To FedEx in September 2009, converted to freighter configuration in October 2010.
"S/N" is the aircraft's serial number. "L/N" is a Boeing code denoting what order the airframe came off the production line. "F/N" refers to an individual airline's fleet numbering system. Not all airlines use a fleet number; not all manufacturers use a line number.

Named: "Grady", later "Brody" (2016). Fleet No: "620".
A purpose built freighter, this aircraft was delivered to FedEx Federal Express as N620FE in Mar-99. It was sold to Citycorp Leasing on delivery and leased back to FedEx. Current, updated 30-Jul-24.
Note: The registration N620FE was originally assigned to a Boeing 747-133(F) in late 1989, but wasn't taken up.

The above image is a scan from an original Kodachromeâ„¢ slide. The default size is 2000 x 1250 pixels, so clicking on the photo will enlarge it for better viewing.
The original image comes from my slide collection, amassed over the past 40+ years. They are a combination of my own photographs and ones acquired over those years.
I created this Photostream in 2017 for the purpose of holding my slide collection as an archive, as otherwise they would just remain in binders and boxes, not being enjoyed by anyone, myself included.
Comments are welcome.
