Originally built as N112WA in 1980 and delivered to World Airways on May 14th of that year, this plane has had a fascinating ownership/lease history:
- used by Lufthansa in 1989
- served for Garuda from July 1989 to July 1990
- alternated between World Airways and Malaysia Airlines from 1990 to 1994
- finally joined FedEx's fleet on September 2, 1994 with the current registration, and has not been repainted since then (note the "Federal Express" titles still remaining!)

N610FE was delivered new to Federal Express on August 25, 1993. Formerly known as "Marissa," the spelling of her name was changed to "Marisa" in 2017.

N903FD Federal Express (FedEx) Boeing 757-2B7(SF) arrives at Luton with an afternoon cargo flight. It spent its first 14 years on passenger duty before being converted to the cargo role in 2007.

Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport (IATA: SGN, ICAO: VVTS) is the busiest airport in Vietnam with 32.5 million passengers in 2016, serving Ho Chi Minh City as well as the rest of southeastern Vietnam.
As of January 2017, it had a total capacity of only 25 million passengers, which has caused constant congestion and sparked debate for expanding or building a new airport. The airport's IATA code, SGN, is derived from the city's former name of Saigon.
A new international terminal funded by Japanese official development assistance and constructed by a consortium of four Japanese contractors (KTOM, abbreviation of four contractors' names: Kajima – Taisei – Obayashi – Maeda), opened in September 2007 with a capacity for 12 million passengers a year. The new terminal gives the airport a total annual capacity of 20 million passengers. The old terminal is now used for domestic flights.
After 2025, when Long Thanh International Airport is completed, Tan Son Nhat will remain operational; however, it will mostly serve for domestic flights, a few international flights and no longer serve transit flights. Source: en.wikipedia.org

Federal Express (FedEx Feeder) (Empire Airlines) - ATR-42-300(F) - N917FX (c/n 354)
This ATR 42 was delivered new to Simmons Airlines in passenger configuration on March 29, 1993, initially registered as N354AT (re-registered as N351AT in July 1995), and operated for (and by) American Eagle from that date, through operation (variously) by Simmons and Executive Airlines, until it was withdrawn from American Eagle service after its purchase by Federal Express in January 2004. It would then be converted into ATR 42-300(F) freighter configuration, re-registered as N917FX, and enter service for Federal Express (FedEx Feeder) (operated by Empire Airlines) in February 2005.

1978 1st Delivery of the 727
In 1977 after two years of lobbying led by Federal Express, Congress passes Public Law 95-163 enabling FedEx and other cargo airlines to use larger aircraft with no geographic restrictions on routes.
Federal Express purchases seven Boeing 727 aircraft, each with a cargo capacity of 40,000 pounds — almost seven times that of the Dassault Falcon.
