Our ongoing, warmer-than-normal temperatures have immediate effects on all plants. Some are more obvious than others - this is February Daphne (Daphne mezereum) in bloom now. She's about three months early this year. Normally she's one of the first to show her lovely, hot pink blooms in late Winter/early Spring.

This is another shot from my neighbor's tree. I love the blossoms.

February 18 is the two year anniversary of the day I brought Shadow and Mama home from the alley to live with me. It's hard to believe that two years have gone by since that day, and that these cats are now living the best possible life out on the acreage with my parents.
I took this picture above last summer, but I do not believe I posted it yet.
Even the prediction of snow here was something of a surprise. We haven't seen a flake in three years, Yesterday, we got two inches. By this morning the big melt was well in progress. This, of course, a male Northern Cardinal in his new red suit braving the snow. Have a Great Week and thanks for the look.
At last me say goodbye to a wet and awful January. Let’s hope for a better February and the start of a bit better weather.💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋

These are the last ones from February, which was an unusually quiet month for me with hardly any pictures.
Of course, that is likely to become the new normal now we're locked down.
Just me and Bagpuss. :-)
