Felled pine trees are stacked in piles by the North Downs Way awaiting collection for processing. The bright afternoon sun cast sideways shadows; I could see a city skyline, so I rotated the image in post processing.

sorry for the spamming and not-so-creative titles/captions.. :/

My neighbor had 2 runaway racing pigeons take up residence in her barn, and did nothing to discourage them. Now after many pigeon-free years the whole neighborhood has pigeons, and they act like a giant pigeon magnet attracting other escapees.

These shady characters are waiting for my chickens to wander away so they can swoop down and hunt for leftover scratch.

Okay, again the eye. I will change the record one day.

Maybe when I am happier with the rest of me perhaps? I'm not a huge fan of me right now. I'm fatter than I have ever been (well I feel it, according to the scales not so much). I am fed up of not really being able to exercise. I need to do something, but work is taking everything out of me. I will insist on trying to do full-time days though. Although the weeks are capped at about 29 hours right now as I am struggling to pass that threshold.

My 'best' hours are between about 11am and 4pm. After that I seriously begin to struggle (if i haven't already been struggling). And even then, you can guess that I only manage maybe 3 or 4 'good' days out of the week.

At night I seem to flick from insomnia to hypersomnia in one fell swoop. I still push through though and try to be 'normal'. I have a bloody good mask that I hide behind.

I should be pleased though? I'm better than I was. I am far better than some people are. I can do things others cannot. It's not life threatening so what on earth gives me the right to be so self-absorbed and whingy about it?

I don't know.

A little snow fell overnight and into the morning, the contrast between the dark clouds and white ground looked to make a nice shot!

I passed this field, old track and woodland on the way out towards the Monadhliadh Mountains and just had to stop for a quick shot as the storm-light added a golden glow across the landscape beneath a leaden sky.

It's been a great month. I appreciate that.

Angel or devil? Old Jaffa :)

I nipped round to Lou's to pick up hers and Mags' entries for the next two competitions at Camera Club (they will both be away and miss the hand-in dates). Lou had picked up all her money for her trip (Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia, I think) so that was my photo today. We're going to miss her in the BRG for the next few meetings; have a good time, Mrs O-J! xx

I'd been ill towards the end of last week, but on sunday i felt better and it was a lovely spring day (12 degrees, woo!) so i went out to visit some charity shops. Very successful i was too.
