كل عام وانتِ بألف خير :$

This squirrel is HUGE! The size of a LARGE cat. I've been seeing him outside bouncing through the spruce trees, raiding the bird feeders and I thought he looked big.........now I know he is.

photography is very grounding for me. when i get upset, if i go shoot... it helps to soothe me and make me focus and move forward. i'm grateful for that.

the streets are full of blossoms and it is so warm . sigh . i know..

Flypaper textures

This happens if you spin around on a computer chair whilst taking your own photo. I was working late and looking for something to take my mind off writing

Full of pollen and enjoying the winter sunshine, if flowers can do that.

Spring was definitely in the air - there were families ambling and rambling along the village lane in the sunshine, though not a soul in this field.

I am 80 years old and never experienced anything like this. It is supposed to get above freezing today after about 250 hours below freezing. Our home is all electric. Our electricity was out For 3 days. You don't have 1 thing that works. Thankfully our house is well insulated. Hilda and I were here for two days and nights. Our daughter and son in law came and got us and we stayed with them two days and nights. They were having rolling blackouts on 1 hour and off 1 hour. They also have propane heat so we were comfortable. We came home yesterday afternoon. Our electricity is on now. Shortly after we got home we received a notice from the water department to conserve water for the next 48 hours are there could be a shutdown of the water system. Do not do laundry are use the dishwasher. Do not take a shower. Do sponge baths with a small amount of water in a lavatory. This too shall pass. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I will catch up later when I can.

A view up the lane to Knapperthaw, a farm sitting below Lowick Beacon on the edge of the Lake District, Cumbria.

Not really! Just thought these crocuses looked so lovely in the early light, spring is in the air, hopefully.

My Niece has opened a bookshop, she says her favourite classic is 'The Three Musketeers'. I read this when I was young but an abridged version... I thought I would try it again but complete and unabridged.

It's so much fun and exciting getting all dressed up!

I stopped off for a quick look at Egremont Castle today - I have passed it so many times, but never ventured beyond the wall and gate until today!

It's a really nice little castle, although there isn't much left to see! I think it took me about 5 minutes to take it in and be back on my way... the weather wasn't encouraging me to stay any longer!

Ed has taken over Roki's bed... again.
