So I finally picked HoM.

I wanted to keep some of her elements, but lean more towards a classical Edwardian era silhouette. Montmartre to me speaks more 1900/1910 so I wanted to respect that type of fashion. But, style it a bit different to compliment blythe sweet and innocent/young look... thus the shorter skirt. I think I still need to tweak the design a bit, especially the accesories and extra bits.

I think I would like to work with a soft green, pink and cream palette. :)

Happy Valentines Day to All

I'm trying to decide which head to use for this character; the one seen here, or this earlier version:

Some slushy rain fell very early this morning. Since I had a two hour delay (followed by getting dressed for Comfy Cozy Day at school - I love being an elementary school teacher!), I was able to get out and shoot some photos before the rain washed it all away. Spiffed up in Lightroom, then in Topaz Texture Effects.

Comments always appreciated, as long as you keep it clean - I love to hear your feedback! xx

These are the last ones from February, which was an unusually quiet month for me with hardly any pictures.

Of course, that is likely to become the new normal now we're locked down.

Get all dressed up next month with February's winning theme.... Formal Affair by Quasiqua Resident!

February is also the return of our annual prom round giving designers the option to invite and collaborate with a guest brand of their choice!

Description:

Love the vintage glamour look. So classy for the ladies and distinguished for the gentlemen.

February 2008

It's time to flip the calendar again......

February is a time to remember to take care of your heart - in more ways than one!!

I'm going to try to exercise, eat better, and de-stress.

As far as love goes....I seem to be doing a good job of protecting my heart from that, too......not sure if that's good or bad!!

Created with fd's Flickr Toys.

These cattails will have to wait for April showers and the spring breezes to seed again. It's a good thing that they can't feel the cold. The weathergals are promising relief for the coming week. Even I sent out a substitute and stayed inside. The sky has been soup lately but when I saw anything of a sky at all I bailed to record it. This sky could mean trouble! This kind of weather BETTER stay in February. It's about time to turn around.

I was in town when I noticed the skies coming in and sped over to Golden Ponds for some open area to see what would shape up with the weather over the creek with the next storm hit. I still like scenes over the water even when the surface is ice. I have more winter shots here that remain unedited. As you know, changing seasons always drop a new cloak over your favorite venues. The first pond dropped to the level of the remains of the spillway and bridge that were victims of the flood. The ponds have frozen closed and we have been in the deep freeze. We caught a break yesterday when it warmed up to the normal February cold. The snow covers all including the islands that emerged as the pond drained. All, including the fishing dock are blanked and the geese went looking for scarce open water. Snow and ice define the day. Cold, shiver, brrrr!

On the other hand if you desire a skiing vacation, you're in great luck. Forty -three inches this weekend at Monarch. Our Rockies are loaded but beware most areas are on federal forest land and there, federal not Colorado's, drug laws apply to marijuana smoking. Focus on MJ and not hemp is beyond stupid!

This is another shot that captures and controls a outrageous range of light, just what I like. Lately, they reopened Golden Ponds, the Longmont, Boulder County greenbelt and rec area and I was searching for the shots to come around and define new scenes. I need some more exercise soon. I have posted a lot of this area throughout the seasons. Today, I wanted to look for new possible locations because March will be marching in and waiting out February is hell. I wandered and dragged myself around the green/white space and took some detail shots that were available.

As February comes to an end, join us in celebrating Black History Month by honoring the amazing Black photographers of the Flickr Community in today’s Explore Takeover. Enjoy this collection of inspiring and diverse images, and give your favorite shots a 'fave' and the photographers a follow to see more of their work.

I understand the photos I'm seeing from my friends in the UK. Spring weather arrives much earlier there. But, we shouldn't be seeing flowers, yet, in Pennsylvania! We're only 2/3 of the way through winter!

I trust your tribal instincts kicked in while solving yesterday's "T" word. Today's "U" word will take you out of this world.

"I am eternally grateful for your visits and comments!"

Seventy degrees in February. It's not natural, but I'll take it. Also, the iPhone 6 camera is amazing.

Comments always appreciated, as long as you keep it clean - I love to hear your feedback! xx

This lockdown has given me no excuse to avoid catching up on posting my photos.

Another February evening and another of my favourite dresses.

Take off for adventure with February's winning theme... Jet Setter by AmberSkye Ellisson!

Description:

The Jet Setter is trendy and not all about business. They are on a plane today, in the club tonight. Their style is sleek and modern with rich tones and clean lines. They want their pics on Instagram & Flickr to be seen. The night nightlife is their escape from the office desk but take their jobs just as seriously. Jet setters are redefining what fashion in the office to their favorite rooftop bar is.

Early February views of a variety of birds visiting the feeders in my back yard. There is something really wonderful about seeing many of the regulars now set against a snowy background. This for me is particularly true of the cardinals. here are a few of my favorites framed against early February snow

My favourite products for January and February.

Not pictured: Bioderma crealine h20 cleanser because the bottle is humongous -_-

I'm still a foundation junkie, I try everything I can put my hands on and I've been really lucky this past months with new finds.
