In the new part of the Zoo in Emmen, there is a beautiful pinguin rock. You can walk between the pinguins, there is a pinguin school and you can watch them under water!
First time trying out a layered composition photo. This is 2 exposures merged in photoshop. One exposure with flashes to light the car, the second was a longer exposure to capture all the fog. I used my car parked right behind the civic with the highbeams on for added effect.
Now this was a really appetising fast food lunch we found in Foix (09 Ariege,Midi-Pyrenees) - great textured bread filled with melted gruyère cheese, bacon lardons and creme fraiche!
...then most, I assume.
Don't know the specs nor the make of the car, but the font on the side reminds me of the game "Need for speed."

After all these years trying to get shots of the White-breasted Nuthatches when one shows up, I should know better than to get my hopes up.
These birds are lightning fast, probably the fastest of all the small birds who frequent our feeders. And while I did get some shots this time, they are not all that - if you know what I mean.
The best I managed is this backside shot. *sigh* You'll just have to take my word that this truly IS a White-breasted Nuthatch.

The Canberra was a highly successful post-war design gaining notoriety in the 1950's both as a record breaker and for being licence-built in the USA as the Martin B-57.
Built in large numbers for the RAF they were exported also to several countries and in their latter days used extensively as test platforms with the old Royal Aircraft Establishment bases around the UK.
WT309 was eventually scrapped, the nose was saved and now resides with FAST at Farnborough.

....I've been honestly looking for a shot of a car reflection against ripple, but my last visit to a local Lake area didn't get me a good result, but I had no idea I would come across this reflection when I was birding ;-) .... I wanted little more abstract ... but this isn't too bad.
