For this photo, I used the lighting in my kitchen. I just had someone pour coffee into this
Starbucks cup for the Fast Shutter Speed techniques. I took this picture with the lense at
47 mm. A shutter speed of 1/160 was chosen to capture the flow of the coffee. ISO was
shot at 600 to capture the essence of the coffee. The depth of field was increased and
was a huge part of the process because I wanted all the focus to be on the Starbucks cup
and the coffee.
By just playing around with the standard post production techniques, (hues, saturations,
exposures, vibrances, brightness, and the noise addition and subtraction), I was able to
give this photo a warm but still intense and ‘cute’ aspect. I also added highlights in the
coffee being poured into the cup to make it a few shades lighter than the coffeemaker in
the background.
