Nothing like viewing the latest tractors, brush hogs and implements at the fairgrounds. . .and on July 4th that means corn dogs and ice cold root beer. A good weekend to everyone!
A farm near what was once known as Kripplebush, NY. The farm seems to have been active until the beautiful old stone farmhouse succumbed to a fire several years back.

In a world that's seemingly gone mad, I appreciate simple, old things like this much more than ever.

We took a walk at a local forest preserve and found this fellow walking the fence and then sitting on this fence post! Cats are so agile and acrobatic....really so fun to watch!
Again, continuing with the theme/idea of capturing some images around the village as mono images using (what I think) is the excellent camera jpeg mono setting of the Fuji XE1. All the images will be straight out of the camera with all the settings tweeked first in camera.
Old barn near my home. I've been wanting to photograph this barn for years now. So I finally pulled over and walked up the hill and photography it, until I was told to leave. Long story!
This farm has one of the most splendid views in the whole Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Facing south and looking into the northern walls of the highest summits.
I was staying at a local farm campsite last weekend,. this picture just begged to be taken. it's just a natural uncontrolled pile of scrap metal boxes and wood..
I took the reference photo for this painting while in Michigan's Upper Peninsula shortly before Halloween. I loved the serenity of the landscape with the snow falling in fat, wet flakes. Soon the entire farm will be blanketed in white.
Glasses Farm, Roadwater, Watchet, Somerset. UK
A glorious country cottage in beautiful countryside close to Exmoor National Park. The thatched stone building in the foreground are two holiday cottages in which we had a couple of most enjoyable holidays.
Image recorded during trip to the city where I was born (Sardoá, MG, BR), inside the property of my father.
Sculpture garden
At Duke Farms, the sculptures in the gardens are mostly 19th-century Italian works brought by Doris Duke’s family. In many 19th-century European and American gardens, these figures were placed as decorative statues, not always tied to a specific mythological name but rather to symbolic personifications. They often represent allegorical figures (Seasons, Muses, Nymphs).
