If you want my body, and you think I'm sexy
Come on, sugar, tell me so
If you really need me, just reach out and touch me
Come on, sugar, tell me so, tell me so, baby.

On a recent drive back from Wales, in a blizzard, I pulled over having seen a possible landscape shot... Just off the main road, previously out of sight, were these guys, munching away and blissfully unaware of the inclement conditions... With a bit of persuasion, I got them to say 'cheese'...!!

I've always admired farmers, ever since I was a kid, how they can do "stuff" themselves…from fixing cars to building fences. I suppose they have to, many farms in Namibia are pretty isolated and far away from the nearest town.

Having crossed the rather stark high moor as we drove along the B3212 towards the east of Dartmoor this was taken near Moretonhampstead. Here the beautiful countryside starts to change and becomes much softer with fields, hedgerows and numerous trees.
The kitchen at my daughter's farm which I gave her for her 18th. The farmhouse and outbuildings are early 17th century as are the adjacent cottages which Emerald utilises as vacation leasings to enhance her fledgling investment portfolio.
Have to put this on as have joined a kitchens group and daren't post only my other one, at Rockingmoor, or shall be in more trouble.
Decided to use this version rather than the original HDR which was not well received - this is slightly less emphasised tonemapping and minimally amended colour closer to the RAW.

To all my photographer friends, I realize that this is an odd composition and that the background is out of focus, but I was going after the texture on the snow field. Although this failed miserably. I still felt that the photo had a charm of it's own and decided to leave it in the set.
This is part of a series of photos taken of what's left of the farm that my wife grew up on in Zeeland, Michigan. The barn and chicken coop remain, but the fields are gone and what remains is surrounded by housing developments, strip malls, factories and schools.
