This is a somewhat cheesy fall scene from the mountains near the Ga/Tenn border. This was another power line nightmare and there was a row of white homes in the background. I painted them all out and swapped them for a barn from another location.

Looking west to the ranges as lanterns hanging from the Tipuana tree sway in the breeze up at our friends' farm early last night.

I'll never forget my first visit to a Second Life Christmas Tree Farm, last year. It was magical. Being here in beautiful Crisp Kringle@Frogmore, reminded me of that time.

We live somewhat in the sticks and I go by this working farm almost every day. Never thought about taking any photo's of it until one day I looked out and with the early morning light, there was an op. I flew home and grabbed the camera.

One of my favorite places frequently visited. Here's a Fall expression.... I'm tied to the wonder of these trees and there role in preserving the earth...

There are a few places I tend to go when I know there's a possibility for an amazing sunset. Old barns and sunsets are a match made in heaven.

Just beyond the Seehof Castle grounds at Memmelsdorf, Germany. The imposing central building of this dairy farm (Schweizerei) was built in 1782 for Franz Ludwig von Erthal (1779-1795), prince-bishop of Bamberg. He was an Enlightenment prince who is known for building hospitals instead of castles. [DSCF2615_lr_2000]

THE PLOUGH BOY
The plough boy wends his merry way
and whistles up the sun today.
Yesterday he made it rain,
and ploughing was postponed again!
Tomorrow if his notes are low
Perhaps we will be in for snow.
But if his tunes are all displeasing
Expect a bitter morn-with freezing!

More cold stuff from me! This picture was taken 2 winters ago. Sometimes farmers seem to forget where they left things in summer.
We are so fortunate to have a farm 1 mile from home. Alex is doing his best to keep the farm going but the drought is making things difficult. Thank you, Alex!
