This is the gate that I spotted months ago and loved it. There was such a "golden haze" and it was about 7.45pm yesterday when I took these shots.
For Macro Mondays - It's Alive.
The second time I have seen one of these flies, the eyes suggest to me that it is some sort of Horsefly but if anyone can help with the ID I would appreciate it.

I shot this one out my window to capture all the light and shadows.
Taken at Bolton le Sands this shows a January sunset from Bolton le Sands, a quiet setting of the sun.

This very fancy and elegant mandarin duck drake showed up in Queen Creek, AZ, about 20 minutes from my house. These guys are native to the Far East in places like China and Japan. But colonies exist in both the UK and U.S. from ducks that have either escaped or were released into the wild. I know there are some established in California, and a couple show up in Prescott, Arizona from time-to-time. But it's very rare for the Phoenix area so I was thrilled to have had a couple opportunities to photograph this gorgeous guy. Interestingly, he befriended mallard drake and the two seem to be inseparable.

Enjoying the #Tulip #flowerfields as much as I do? This is one of the images of my second trip to the flowerfields of #noordwijkerhout this year... I love how the tulips are allmost closed. I like them best that way.. How about you?

2009 Challenge Day 362: REMOTE
We decided, my hubby, daughters and I, NO gifts this year for Christmas!!! But, they didn't know that I already had done mine for my family!! LOL!! Ready to surprise them!! But the biggest surprise was from my older daughter, who is working part time!! An LCD 42" Samsung TV!!!
This is its remote control sitting on a needle point runner that I had done pre-computer era!! LOL!!

This fancy egg is a music box that was a Christmas gift a few years ago from one of my nephews and his family. If you open the lid, there is a carousel horse inside and it plays music as the horse goes round.

Before heading out on the walk with Scott and Sock this afternoon I managed to snap a few shots of Fyero while she was watching out the window.
I like the way the tulips frame her and pop some colour into the photo so I'm going with it.
I did manage a couple bird photos while I was out walking but this shot just stands out a little more to me.
