Spotted in Durham recently, Bojo, out clothes shopping. Perhaps he’s looking for a new cabinet too. 😂
Happy Monday everyone.
It's a brightly coloured dahlia and for Sliders Sunday, I added a background texture in Topaz Studio 2 and slightly saturated the colour. I hope you enjoy! HSS!
Thank you for your visit and comment, it's very much appreciated. Have a great day!
Common Brown Leafhopper (Orosius orientalis)

Trying out Russian Tips to decorate some cupcakes. I liked the tip that created these roses the best. Some of the others were a complete flop.

A showy peony to begin the week. Happy Monday!

It's Sliders Sunday, so this rather showy bloom went to Topaz Studio where I added a background texture and slightly saturated the colour. HSS!
Thank you for your views and comments, much appreciated! Have a great day!
From the side, this beautiful peony's fancy interior becomes that much more evident. Background texture from Topaz Studio 2.

For Smile on saturday#Fancy fence
Please click on the middle of the pic.
I photographed this fence quite accidentally while I was trying to make a good shot of this little bird. For more than half an hour, I was hidden behind a bush waiting it to get out again. I did not manage to identify it, but I only know it was singing beautifully and lives in a swamp. If anyone can recognize this bird, I would be grateful for ID help.
Only on the big screen I saw the whole picture and I really love it. A small bird on the old fence at the end of a day.
HSoS!
This year was a particularly good one for dahlias. This particular bloom was quite large and there were only two of them in the park's garden.
Thank you for your kind visits and comments, they're all greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful day!
I’ve been in charge of the café for the day at Pomponne and I’ve baked some big sweet muffins for your delight. How could you resist my sales pitch, especially backed up by this mix and match ensemble from tres blah, Absolut Vendetta, Zaara and MESH Agency? The icing on the cake/muffin is another view of the gorgeous newish hair from DeLa and the cheeky new pose from naughty Amanda at Signature Pose!

Taken for the Smile on Saturday theme of Fancy Fabrics. I have spent ages faffing around trying to get a shot I am happy with using all different fabrics but this is the best I could manage! The fabric is blurry just in case anyone thought it was out of focus! HSoS!
With its purple/pink flowers clustered tightly together on a tall stem, Foxglove is one fancy and beautiful flower.
Unlike a perennial which flowers every year, foxgloves are biennial, meaning they flower every other year.
They can be invasive, but because of their beauty, that can be a good thing for some gardeners.
They are quite toxic, so while they may be touched without ill effect, ingesting them by mouth will produce dangerous effects. So care should be taken when pets or children are in their proximity.
I captured these flowers with my birding telephoto lens set at 400mm, f/5.6, at 1/30th of a second handheld, and an ISO of 1100.
This is a shot I took during my holiday in Tenerife. The coast of "El Sauzal" is very rocky and there are several small bays where you can take a swim. These stairs lead down to the water and if you take a closer look you can see a ladder leading into the water on the other side of the small bay. When I took this picture there was high tide and the waves came crashing over the rocks and flooded the stairs, so swimming here would have been a bit risky. However, we found other swimming bays and natural pools which were more protected from the waves.
Thank you for your visits, coments and faves!

this is another image from the swimming pool that's only visible at low tide at The Dancing Ledge on Dorsets beautiful Jurrasic coast! I climbed down onto the ledge which is 6-8 feet down onto what seems like sheet ice.... I nearly didn't go as is was quite dangerous....... but after looking and seeing as tide was on its way out I reckoned id have time and so went for it.......
