I love piping, and made some faberge style Easter eggs last year. This year, I decided to do Valentine's Hearts. I didn't do a good job of budgeting time for these, so I was a bit rushed. But I'm still happy with them (for the most part).

No further ahead with sorting out all my Windows 10 problems. I suspect I am going to have to accept the loss of so many years' worth of records and emails (from 2002) and hundreds of important map locations. Not happy, to say the least : (
It's back to the present for four of the five photos I have posted around noon today. They were all taken on a drive east and north-east of the city on 22 November 2019, when my daughter and I had a great day out together.
It felt so good to get away from all my computer problems and spend the day with my daughter out in the countryside. Needless to say, we had hoped to find a Snowy Owl, which we did, though it was distant. My daughter is excellent at spotting things, so if there had been Snowies anywhere, I am confident she would have seen them. We were so glad to see this one, rather than none at all. I wonder how long it had been sitting there and how much longer it sat there after we quickly moved on.
I must say the day was a great day for finding old barns, though! A favourite thing with both my daughter and myself. At one spot, I heard voices in the farmyard and I asked if we could take a photo of their old barn, from the road. The guy very kindly told us to drive right in and go and take any photos we wanted. Unfortunately, we were looking into the sun, but we still managed to do OK. Captured a couple of old sheds in the yard, too. Generous farm owners are always immensely appreciated!
An unexpected side trip, at my daughter's suggestion, was to visit again the old grain elevator and barn at Sharples. I think I have been there either two or three times before, but never when snow is on the ground. Visits have always ended up later in the day, when the sun is in the wrong place. One of these days .....

Snowdon...7.5 miles...Wintery.
I fancied a change today so here we are on our first walk in Snowdonia. At 3560ft Snowdon should provide quite a challenge in this wintery weather...As we left the car park at Pen y pass, Karen looked up and said "I don't know about this". We set off along the Pyg track,No sign of any Pygs or no sign of any Shyeep. We did follow a group of 3 blokes, one trailed behind so we gave him the name Floopy leg. We were soon battered by a flurry of hailstones which was followed by proper snow..The Crib goch route looked a big no no so we carried on along the main path. As we reached the summit strange ice formations covered the rocks. On reaching the summit railway building we commented on the fact that it looked like a giant ice cube. We found some shelter where we sat for a brew and a sarni but it was too cold to stop long. The only other people on the summit were a group of mountain bikers...A hardy bunch I thought...now for the tricky bit, getting down the icy path. We dropped down the Miners track with great views back to the summit. I enjoyed this walk, no doubt it will not be our last visit.

Another photo shoot from the glamorous Darci Perfect Pose Studio! This time, my favourite redhead Darci is modelling chic resort wear; - ‘FANCY PANTS … The knit that’s a hit because of the fit!’ so said the 1980 booklet. LOVING the backdrops for the studio and just got one of those Perfect Pose fashions NRFB so can’t wait to use the backdrop from that one too, as well as the other backdrops that came with this set, using some other NRFB ‘Lifestyle’ fashions I also just got … Stay Tuned!
