Noticed these on a short drive this Sunday morning… Commonly called the tropical almond, false kamani trees are deciduous, and are dropping their colorful leaves (they redden before falling). I was so tempted to scoop up armfuls of the fallen brown leaves for my compost pile, but they are tough, and would take forever to break down.

Does anyone know what kind of spider this is? It jumps around and is quite aggressive! I struggled to even photograph it as it was so lively. Living under a paving slab in the garden (in England). View On White

Yikes.... I have found out it is a Steatoda Nobilis "False Widow".... Britain's most dangerous spider!

Adult spiders are capable of biting humans. The bite of the false widow spider can be medically significant in humans, but usually without any long-lasting effects.
Reports from those bitten describe a certain amount of pain, which often radiates along the limb or part of the body where bitten, and often a degree of swelling in the affected part. Some describe fever and a general feeling of being unwell. These symptoms may last for a couple of days but the total effect is unlikely to be more serious than that.

Do I fake the lomo-effect : Yes and No.
The lens is the Industar-69 fitted to a Sony Nex-3, so I got about the same focal then the Lomo-LCA and a russian lens. The lens is vignetting and has some major problems with sharpness. Lomography doesn't sell original russian lenses no more, they are chinese, but I do.
I do not use film, but what is the point, the so called special effects film are made for the purpose, but finally you need to have a digital support to upload the pics. What you do with your digital support is your choice..., for those shots, I have increased the contrast and used the Alien Skin Exposure Kodak Lomo effect.
Think and do not buy!
