This beautiful baby came out of her hiding place to cool off in the pool before hiding again to wait for mum.
Couldn't get a clearer view but wanted to post maybe the largest fallow buck I have ever seen in our forest. I thought it was a red deer at first but the antlers are just about visible and of the palmate variety. What a monster. Dama dama
This fallow deer buck just paused for a second before disappearing in the forest, luckily i was fast enough to get this shot. Bavaria, Germany
Fallow deer stag on a foggy fall morning, once again it was worth carrying the camera with me although chances were very low for any sightings. But who doesn't like to be surprised like that...Hessen, Germany
Noch keine Brunftzeit beim Damwild im Wildpark Silz, da geht es noch gemächlich zu und das schöne ist, dass man sich in ihrer Umgebung ohne Zäune bewegen kann.
It's not yet rutting season for the fallow deer at Silz Wildlife Park, so things are still peaceful there, and the nice thing is that you can move around in their environment without fences.
Once again this year I didn't manage to get the shots of the fallow rut that I wanted, but other sights were seen, and other photos taken, and I can't complain. And there's always next year :)
Taken in the Forest of Dean.

A closer look at one of the female Fallow Deer, she was in the distance in an earlier upload. The herd are in the deer park at Prideaux Place in Padstow.
Thank you for you your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
Another early morning shot from Epping Forest - after spotting the solitary doe I watched this small family emerged from the brush. A beautiful melanistic lady with them.
At Charlecote park...the deer were very 'chilled' when we visited at the weekend....

A black fallow deer doe with her fawn, this year the black fallow deer are more numerous than in previous years, Forstenrieder Park, Munich, Germany
Fallow deer seen in the New Forest, Hampshire. This one didn't spot us as we cycled along the lane but very soon realised we were approaching and decided to scamper off through the undergrowth. Luckily he stopped to have another look at us and I managed to get a photo before he disappeared again. We think there is something that looks like a fawn hiding in the grass but can't be sure as the deer was quite a distance from us by this time.
A very handsome and friendly 'chap', so glad he decided to spend a moment or two with us :)

A couple of Fallow Deer images from a brief spell of decent weather recently. We've been plagued by heavy rain recently. While I like rain in photos, it's been so dark and gloomy the photos haven't been their best.
The Fallow bucks were very active as the end of the rut approached. Lots of parading and barking at the does.
I visited Holkham Hall in Norfolk today to see the large herd of Fallow Deer they have there, with the intention of trying out some motion blur on them. Not something I've really tried before on wildlife, so thought I'd have a go. Fairly pleased with how this came out as a first attempt, but I'm open to any comments, critique or any tips on motion blur techniques.
