This is a smal waterfall I discovered a few weeks ago when I went out on a country road I had been on before looking for subjects to photograph. I stopped to take pictures of a cattail marsh and when I got out of the car, I could hear the water from across the road. Since it was autumn and the leaves had fallen, it was easier to see it. It was a very sweet discovery that brought me joy.

J'ai découvert cette petite chute il y a quelques semaines alors que je roulais sur une route de campagne à la recherche de sujets à photographier. Je m'étais arrêtée pour prendre des photos d'un marais de quenouilles et en sortant de la voiture, j'ai entendu le son de l'eau de l'autre côté de la route. Comme c'était l'automne et que les feuilles étaient tombées, il était plus facile de voir cette petite merveille. Ce fut une belle découverte qui m'a remplie de joie.

Maine has some of the best foliage in the Northeast . On the not so perfect weather days a trip on the North Woods dirt roads can be colorful place to spend some time.

I needed a stop at the falls and was surprised there was so much water flowing. With the drought conditions there is less water at other locations. It was very warm and sunny, being in the cooler gorge was comfortable and relaxing.
