Titles.....!

Another August shot taken along the Glenn Highway further up the road from the picnic shot I posted yesterday. Here looking south with some of the Chugach mountains in the distance. Loved the turning colors from greens to golds.

Autumn is my favorite season. A treat to get an extra few weeks of it by starting in Alaska.

Austria series: Foggy day

This photo was taken on a very foggy day at the end of October. The visibility was low, but suddenly the clouds opened and these trees with their beautiful fall colors emerged amidst the fog. A few moments later they disappeared again ...

🇩🇪 Dieses Foto wurde Ende Oktober, an einem sehr nebligen Tag, aufgenommen. Die Sicht war minimal, aber plötzlich öffneten sich die Nebelwolken und gaben den Blick auf diese Bäume in den schönsten Herbstfarben frei. Nach ein paar Sekunden war alles wieder im Nebel verschwunden ...

Shot taken near Town Lake in Austin, Texas

A quick shot taken yesterday afternoon outside the back door of my parents house. The color here in Connecticut right now is very surprising given our serious serious drought.

Taken in the early morning in the Countrywood neighborhood of Walnut Creek, California.

The Pentax DA* 300mm is an incredible lens. Even though I'm the one who took it, I can't believe that there wasn't any saturation or sharpness added to the RAW file before converting. A good testament to what can be done with good light and an even better lens.

It's getting a little late to post fall foliage photos, as most of the leaves have fallen now. These three photos were taken last month on the same pond with varying wind conditions.

I was working on all of the fall foliage photos I had taken, when we had the sudden snowstorm. Now, the 6" of snow we received has disappeared and everything is brown. November...my least favorite month (although March is a close second).

Another road shot from Alaska's Tok Cutoff between Glenallen and Tok. Alaska was simply amazing, in so many ways.

Best fall foliage season I've experienced, with it starting early here and then commencing and continuing at home thru October.

Pennsylvania...:))

Just a few acres in size, but it's a nice sight to drive past, especially when the water reflects the opposite shore. The "headwaters" of this little pond are right up the road on our farm, and it becomes a brook that makes its way to the Susquehanna River.

I spotted this across the river while driving. By the time I found a place to pull over and got in position, the sun had disappeared behind clouds and I had to wait 20 minutes before it came back to shine a spotlight on those trees! I’m glad I waited!

I had spent the prior week in the park mostly getting skunked by blue and smoky skies ... not good conditions for landscape photography. But the first day back home served up this great sunrise. The yellow tree is a Sugar maple; the rest are Red Maples, mostly past their peak of color.
