Always stay well back from rushing water in Yosemite, and do not swim or even wade in any pool above a waterfall. Be very careful around wet rocks. Over the years, quite a few people have been swept over waterfalls in Yosemite.
There was an article in the newspaper the other day about the garden center I go to, and how cool-weather favorite pansies often survive the area’s winter temperatures. I planted these in the railing planter that my squirrel friends like to dig up – let’s see if the pansies survive either ;-)

After lots of rainfall over the last month, there have been many waterfalls appearing at the side of the road. This one was spotted as I drove down towards Llyn Gwynant.
